You're wrong, massage 252 was not dirty when I've been there. I went there multiple times during one my trips in PP and the rooms were clean.

The thing that I didn't like there was to have to negotiate the price directly with the girl before taking her in the room.

And it's not a soapy place, it's just a basic fuck and go place. My experiences there were not very good but I guess it depends on the girl you chose.

- Happy Herb Pizza was an institution. It was the first one that sprinkled weed on the pizza. It was listed in every travel book. Many copy-cats popped up.

- Last year, the stored was closed. Now, that place has been replaced by Happy Paradise Pizza.

- This is the story I heard from the tuk-tuk drivers that sold / sell weed. The owner of pizza place next door was arrested. They found 5 kilos of weed at his house. Then they arrested So-Pal, the owner of Happy Herb Pizza. They followed him and found his stash. So-Pal never sold weed himself. It was always his employee.

- The owner of the pizza place next door supposedly paid a large bribe to get out of jail. One person said $50K. Another said $10K. They are still selling, but supposedly they are paying the police every month. (So fucking CORRUPT!) Happy Herb owner, So-Pal got out of jail after paying bribe, but he closed his shop.

- The reason I heard on why they got arrested was because they sold to Cambodian students (high school kids). They said there was high traffic going there.

- I'm hearing contradictory things about the tuk-tuk sellers and the foreigners. One person said the police are going after the sellers and foreigners. Another said that they don't bother anyone as long as they sell only to foreigners. I believe the later because as a tourist walks along the riverside, he is constantly asked if he wants weed. The tuk-tuk drivers will show you the weed somewhat out in the open.

- As always, it's caveat emptor. The days of open smoking along the riverside is gone. People needs to be discreet.

- On a side note, the Dirty Sailor (on St 172) used to sell indoor quality weed. But the price was ridiculous ($20 per gram), more than California. That place got busted. It closed. People speculated that the owner from Amsterdam paid a large bribe. Indoor quality is still available from somewhere else, but price is still ridiculous.

Haven't been to PP for some time and this is not a motivator for me to return any time soon. I'm one who takes pride in being able to barfine a girl who many are unable to but when the number is nearly 50% that would be annoying and more effort and time than I care to spend.

Are these girls absolutely unattainable or does it depend on the guy and, more importantly, the money that is offered?

Well, I will be on ground mid-December. Even though that 50% hit rate is a bummer, I still like the vibe and non-sharky demeanor of the Khmer girls.

I cannot say if the girls who refuse to barfine are absolutely unattainable or whether they will go out with the right guy for the right price. Simply because I do not chase such girls, unless I have been struck by lightning. And that has happened just once. I met a girl at Xanadu on my trip in April 2019, who refused to go out. I was totally besotted by her, dunno why. So I took her Line ID and kept in touch. When I returned in August, I asked her out again and she refused. And finally when I went back in early October and asked her out for the third time, she caved in.

I think it is happening everywhere. Women these days are empowered to certain extent even if they are working in a bar. They get to pick and choose who they want to have sex and who they do not want. It is not like dipping in a candy box and take home your pick anymore. Some mongers will have good success and some will not. All girls need sex and want to make money.

I would not go with a girl who is not interested. It will definitely affect the service. Gone are the days when the girls are desperate for money and will open their legs for anybody. All the mongering destinations have the same issue. Bars used to be strict but anymore in making girls go. I prefer meeting and getting together on social media. BB, I have been to PP a lot and most times the girls are up for extra cash. It does depend on which bars but that is no different to Pattaya or BKK. Cambos are good fun, sweet and not as hardened as Thais or Viets. They are still playful and when they like you give a great GFE. Most of the girls I have been with and still see when I go there are bar fined girls. Now I do spend a little bit of money when on tour (as you know) so that I think that helps as well. Helps me at least and I need all the help I can get!

My last trip was three weeks ago and it was a blast. Barfined girls from 136 in late afternoon and 10 at night. Found one that I repeated a few times as well. Even grabbed one from Darlin Darlin but she was nothing special in bed although she was pretty.

There is no Soi 6 like Pattaya has and no Soi Cowboy or Nana Plaza like BKK. However if you look in enough bars, find the target you like, you will most likely get a bar fine. That said, the quality can vary a lot as well. This trip I thought it was low but the bars on 104 did have some younger cute ones. Not a lot of customers on 104 so that also helps. At my age I cannot argue about spending time with younger girls who want to take my money and please me. If they do not want to I move on to one that does and PP has a lot of girls.

I don't think you are missing anything.

Unfortunately, I only visited about a half dozen bars and only on Street 136. Advanced arthritis severely limited my travels on foot. If anybody saw an old fart hobbling around with a cane, it was probably me. LOL Should've had a cortisone injection before my trip. Also, a case of the shits kept me sidelined for a few days. The bars I patronized were the Pussy Cat, 69 Bar, Candy Bar, Moonrise, Sweetie and one or two others. Didn't try Secrets. I was aware of the pricing there. If you are missing anything, it is maybe the recollection of what the pricing has been historically in PP. Sure, the price of pussy has gone up everywhere. But it just seems like the prices in PP have escalated disproportionally in PP compared to other venues. I only barfined once. Cute 19 year old, 2 weeks on the scene. She was quite thankful for the $60 I put next to her purse in the morning. I, personally, did not get quoted $100. But my wingman was quoted that at 3 different bars. Yeah, the girls who quoted that were one of the top 2 (in my opinion) in each of the bars. You are right about $. 75 beers. Can't be beat except at a convenience store. LOL Fortunately, a former Soi Cowboy dancer I've known for 3 decades flew over to visit for a few days. And my married Khmer "girlfriend" of 22 years stopped by when she could. Girls and bars are so desperate for cash they can't afford to reject a customer.

This is probably the case for most of the bargirls in PP, but these desperate girls might be the ones that nobody want to barfine.

Example, around ten days ago I entered Route 136 at 2 am and took a seat near a girl that I wanted to interact with, she didn't give a shit about me taking directly the seat next to her. She was looking her facebook stuffs on her phone and her body was turned on the other side of the bar, I was facing her back.

I decided that I would try to talk with her anyway and gently put my hand on the left side of her back.

She immediately stood up, acted as if she was fed up, went directly to the opposite side of the bar and talked with one of the bargirls. She pointed at me and said something like " it's time for me to go now, even that asshole thinks he can touch me like that" (I didn't hear or understood what she said but it was definitely something like that).

She then put her jacket on, helmet on, took her bike and moved on. She was far from being the most beautiful girl in PP, she even wear glasses and was probably 30+ and I'm sure she is a WG because I saw her a few times while I was walking in front of the place.

I thought WTF is that, the girl is supposed to entertain guys and she acts like a princess.

It was not even about barfine, some girls even put attitude just for talking with some customers.

I think these kind of girls are very few though.

In previous visits I also met some girls that openly say they won't barfine.

Most of the time the issue was the difference of age, if she is on the young side (around 20+) and you're on the other side of the scale (I'm not even that old, just 40+) that can happen, or it might also happen with girls that cannot speak English (given that the guy is clean, put good clothes on and bla bla bla). If anyone is concerned about that, you can ask her directly in the beginning or at the moment she asks for a LD. I doubt she would lie about that.

Compared to previous visits, I found that generally the quality of the girls was lower this time, and girls are putting a lot more attitude than before so I don't think they are that desperate even though they look like they need some cash.

BB how long back was this? A lot has changed in over the last 2 years in PP and IMHO is the most dynamic mongering market in SEA. It is not uncommon to find bars with nearly 50% of the girls refusing a barfine, but only available to drink. Because many of them make a decent buck per night without having to spread their legs. And you know who is to thank for letting this practice hold root and flourish. To top it all, girls are getting increasingly tech savvy, and they manage to engage a "boyfriend" or two online who are happy to send them money and gifts without ever meeting them. Insane.

A lot more bars that have ladyboys mixed with the girls now too.

I will take my virgin trip to PP in July and have been reading up and watching the YouTube videos. I have a pretty good feel and plan on enjoying those streets, hanging out with hostess girls and pulling a few! Cheap drinks, laughs, and Asian poon will fit me just right!

Have been to PP many times and never had a bar girl say no to a bar fine. However I have had a mate be rejected by a good looker from Corner Bar. I did warn him that she was likely to be someone's girl. Just way too good looking to be turning tricks. More likely having fun with her girlfriends knowing that she had a boyfriend who was taking care of her. So she danced and got tips but did not bar fine.

Anyway back to the scene. My recent trip I bar fined girls from 104 bars and during the day from 136 bars late in afternoon. And Darlin Darlin which is a pickup bar so not really a bar fine place. No issue at all. It could be different for others and yes, the girls can sometimes be as picky as we are. Depends when their rent is due! Things were quiet as well so maybe the girls needed the money more!

I like to enjoy my day and afternoon and then lay down for a Quick nap and then head out for beers, flirting and fun! Any crime or sketchy situations? I'm staying on St 172 and will grab a tuk tuk in the evening to bounce around.

If you read news about Cambodia you'll see that there are a lot of crimes over there (and some of the most horrible ones) but it's mostly between Khmer people.

As a tourist I've never felt unsafe there, and I've been walking down all the streets at night and even the darkest owns, only in the touristic areas though but I doubt you'll find yourself wandering in places other than the touristic ones in your first trip.

Crimes that foreigners might be victim of are usually snatch bag, snatch phone, having your money stolen in a massage parlor or being caught in an argument in a shitty bar (Candy bar as an example, fights broke often in such places).

As for everywhere else usual recommendations are to not get overly drunk, don't take strange substances, keep an eye on your food and drinks, beware of people that want to befriend you for no reason, keep calm and be polite in all circumstances and I'm sure you'll have a great time in PP.

Street 172 is not far from the action, it's just a 5 or 10 minutes walk, you'll need a tuktuk only if you bring a girl back with you.

I just use the grab for one of the 3 wheelers. They sometimes call them tuktuks still. They are motorbikes with a covered seat for 2 or 3 people in the back. They don't have aircon but they definitely pick you up inside the gate. Last time it was $7 and we went 16 km according to google maps. I don't really find the heat to be an issue. But I'm used to southeast asia.

Grab drivers, or PassApp, are allowed in the airport, but they're charged 2000 r now. It's not yet implemented in the app so you might want to give them some compensation for that. Just select the airport pick up point (on the main road in front of the terminal) in the app and you'll be fine. 4-5 USD into town.
