On the island about 4 days now, making my way through the Carolina's lineup as best I can.

Not much to add. Most girls ask for $60, but I find if you leave $50 there are no complaints.

Nobody at Carolina's has really stood out as fantastic, but the line-up is very good, with lots to choose from.

Did a take-out from Él Capitan and Defiance (1 girl from each) 10 am-6 pm cost $200. $25/ HR for 2 girls I found to be a pretty sweet deal.

I think Defiance has improved its line-up.

But like I said, didn't have much to add. I missed this place! LOL.

There are definitely some very appealing ladies at Carolina's. Sadly I have not brought my A game so far. Was out last night when approached by Dianna, who I thought was one of the chicas I had put on my to-do list. Got to the room and was asked for payment up front. Warning alarms started going off. Put $50 on the dressed and was told the fee was $70.00. At that point I grabbed my $50 and said forget it. She then started back peddling and said she thought I had paid for 1 HR room time. I am giving her the benefit of the doubt and In the end she gave a decent session. When I got back to the bar I saw the girl I thought I was going with. How can you say no to that?

It was actually right around 11 pm. It dawned on me in the middle of the night the spare and jack may have been liberated. Checked the next morning and all was intact. I am going to give the fellow the benefit of the doubt and say he was just waiting to extract a few bucks for "watching" the car. My mistake for not making sure the car was secure.

Ran a bit early in to P'burg today and El General (Petit Chateau) and El Capitan we're not open yet. Decided to check out Empire, as it appeared to be open already. Soooo glad I did. When exiting the club I saw my rental car with the trunk open. As I approached the car a fellow approached me and said he had been watching the car for me to make sure no one tampered with it.

Returned to SXM yesterday. While standing in line to clear customs / immigration I saw two attractive young ladies who caught my wandering eye. Once I picked up my rental car, sat in traffic for over an hour, checked into my apartment and cleaned up I made my way to Carolina's. The place was crowded and the line up was pretty good. I saw 3 or 4 girls that were defiantly my type. Cute face, large books and modest tush. The more attractive of the 2 girls from the airport was one of the prospects.

Spent some time at the bar checking out the action and fending off sharks not to my liking. The ones I found interesting were tied up with other guys. Awesome. That'll make for a fun trip. I personally like ordering in, but that doesn't appear to be an option in St Maarten. Just word of mouth I'm guessing. I'll definitely check out Carolina's at the least.

Carolina's is at the corner of Soualiga Road and Pendant Cactus Road. I've driven there many times and never had a problem.

I've hunted for the original article but can't find it now. I read it a few years ago before my last trip there. It was a post from a local warning that rental vehicles have an are on the license plate to designate them as such. This is only on the Dutch side. She recommended renting from the French side. It would be too much of a hassle traveling to the French side for a rental and traveling back to drop it off again before the flight home. On my last trip a taxi driver warned me to only use taxis with the TX on the plate to avoid being gouged on the rates.

I'm renting a car, but would it be safer just cabbing it? I've read that the plates flag you as a tourist and an easy target for a mugging.

Any advice would be appreciated.
