I do think any non French speaking punter should seriously consider if Mada really is the right destination to travel to. As has been said before you are going to be largely isolated. Only a very small percentage Malagasy speak half decent English. Nearly all mongerers are French / Italian most of the others are also from non English speaking countries. I met exactly 2 single British punters in 6 weeks and it was clear they where really happy they had someone to talk to.
Yes some tourists that don't speak a word of French have liked Madagascar but they are mostly African veterans who can score blindly like Pokeris who is the goalgetter of the Africa Cup. If you are a bit unsure about your game / experience or you need conversation / company than I would think twice before travelling to Madagascar.

Go back on RN7 like me yesterday. Pothole slalom. Swept away bridges... Or take Cotisse to Morondave. Or the Camion brousse to Manja... Then you'll experience what Madagascar is like...

Speaking some french is the important key.
When I was in Antsirabe I witnessd the " hookers union " . About 15 Girls got out of a buss, made a circle and one was telling them facts. Prices and so.
At first I thought its a hen night, but the locals I was with explained it to me. Would not have taken long one could make it out him self since minutes after the hens were on the street smiling at you.
One evening I was in " La terasse " at Manakara, Dady and mommy was there with there two innocence daughters like they told me. One of the two sweetis was of light color the other dark as the night.
I sat to them offerd some beer, some food and had a ball first with the ever so elegant mummy. I dit not bother grim Dady. Took one of the daughters for a wild dance, got the rhythm and left.

Especially in Mangily many Americans in the hotels on the beach. Most of them on a tour or on a beach vacation or even honeymoon.
I never met Americans alone on holiday to chase the girls.
Before my journey I expected that region to be far more remote from the rest of the world than it actually was.
Even the road from Tulear to Mangily was from an exceptional quality.

The biggest chance of meeting will be Tana. But 90% Expats are French. Some Italians. A few Germans Swiss and Austrians. Spread out all over the island.

There is a few white Europeans they run businesses like bars and restos here. No barfine. No African in his right mind would pay barfine. Like Manson. Many girls don't even have the money to buy drinks. It will never work in Africa.
But to survive here on business you need to be a hard nosed individual with several decades of experience. 90% who try business in Africa end up losing their last shirt. And now its not like 30 years ago when these people started. Many want to sell. Work permits were cheap back than. Now most African nations charge moon prices for permits. A good country to look at which has an open door policy is Rwanda.

It seems that English only speaking expats are like "fish out of water" there or as you said they are like 'Stray dogs". French expects don't speak English or they just don't want to speak English? Do you see any American / Aussie / Canadian expats in Mada Neddy?

How much pussy do you need. You'll not finish in your life time.

The problem here is not the pussy. Nobody talks to you. Many girls bad or no french. Unless you're french hardly any expat will talk to you. The problem is here to find something to do when you're not shagging. Not a problem in Kenya or Uganda even Rwanda where most people speak English and you can have some kind of conversation. It has been written many times here in the forum. You gonna be a stray dog...

Ohhh yeah. I read nearly everything here und this is for me the big secret.
I know kampala and mombasa (look to my big reports) but I don't know how could I compare it with madagascar in the point of quantity. There are more girls available in tamatava / tana / tulear / nosy be? Will I know every sexy girl, after one week? This citys are really smal (exception tana).
Madagascar is on the first position of my todo list. I love easy cheap mongering, no tourist places and adventures.

Thank you Neddy for your response. I know I can only stay in Madagascar for 3 months. After 2 months I go to Mauritius and back to get a new visa. I have looked at the Booking.com site but I am looking for a house for 300 or 400 euros a month. I will look further. Haha no I didn't fuck all the girls in Nosy Be. I wish I was that strong. I just wanted to say that there is more available in Tamatave. Thanks for your reply. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
