    English

I do think any non French speaking punter should seriously consider if Mada really is the right destination to travel to. As has been said before you are going to be largely isolated. Only a very small percentage Malagasy speak half decent English. Nearly all mongerers are French / Italian most of the others are also from non English speaking countries. I met exactly 2 single British punters in 6 weeks and it was clear they where really happy they had someone to talk to.

Yes some tourists that don't speak a word of French have liked Madagascar but they are mostly African veterans who can score blindly like Pokeris who is the goalgetter of the Africa Cup. If you are a bit unsure about your game / experience or you need conversation / company than I would think twice before travelling to Madagascar.

I never met Americans alone on holiday to chase the girls.

Before my journey I expected that region to be far more remote from the rest of the world than it actually was.

Even the road from Tulear to Mangily was from an exceptional quality.
Yes. I didn't mention the US and UK lemur lovers. Of course. Since the movie Madagascar they find it on the map. No use to talk to them. They live in their bubble being whisked thru Mada on hired 4x4's and domestic flights, wasting lots of money on overpriced tour packages hawkishly watched over by their drivers, lest they shop somewhere they don't get their cut. Absolutely clueless about the life of the ordinary gasy people... Tour operators love them. LOL.

And the road to Mangily was the last one newly paved 2 years ago. The newest road in Mada... That's why. And of course if you fly in on Tsaradia its not as remote... LOL.

Go back on RN7 like me yesterday. Pothole slalom. Swept away bridges... Or take Cotisse to Morondave. Or the Camion brousse to Manja... Then you'll experience what Madagascar is like...

    Geting organiced

Speaking some french is the important key.

When I was in Antsirabe I witnessd the " hookers union " . About 15 Girls got out of a buss, made a circle and one was telling them facts. Prices and so.

At first I thought its a hen night, but the locals I was with explained it to me. Would not have taken long one could make it out him self since minutes after the hens were on the street smiling at you.

One evening I was in " La terasse " at Manakara, Dady and mommy was there with there two innocence daughters like they told me. One of the two sweetis was of light color the other dark as the night.

I sat to them offerd some beer, some food and had a ball first with the ever so elegant mummy. I dit not bother grim Dady. Took one of the daughters for a wild dance, got the rhythm and left.

The best place or almost the only place in Mada I know of is Sarkys Bar in Tamatave. About the only place where you can get a real English/South African braai breakfast. Yummy. The rest is coffee and croissants...

I know a number of german speaking expats. They're absolutely hard nosed guys. Exbuyers of coloured stones or Bar owners with 30+ years in Mada. I know of exactly one English guy running a guest house in Tulear. And an American girl running a dive shop in Mangily. That's about it. The rest will be missionaries or Peace corps.

The biggest chance of meeting will be Tana. But 90% Expats are French. Some Italians. A few Germans Swiss and Austrians. Spread out all over the island.

    Pimping

It's not about people of the "Land of the free" somehow into owning bars and running prostitution. Same here. Everywhere in Africa 95% of the market is locals. Even Madagascar there's probably a couple of dozen white mongers in Tana right now.

There is no need for pimps. In Africa you just smile, wave and talk to any girl you like. There is some gasy or other african men try to hook you up of course But that's more family oriented business. Really no need in subsaharan Africa for middle men. There is a few white Europeans they run businesses like bars and restos here. No barfine. No African in his right mind would pay barfine. Like Manson. Many girls don't even have the money to buy drinks. It will never work in Africa.

But to survive here on business you need to be a hard nosed individual with several decades of experience. 90% who try business in Africa end up losing their last shirt. And now its not like 30 years ago when these people started. Many want to sell. Work permits were cheap back than. Now most African nations charge moon prices for permits. A good country to look at which has an open door policy is Rwanda.

I am not worried in the slightest. This country is not user friendly. Bad shit is flowing through the air. Dust with all kinds of bacteria you don't want to know about. Foreign owned?? If they make any money there will be a hostile take over by the powers to be. Without any compensation. Except 9 mm Para... Go figure why this country attracts no foreign investment. Except the Triades or the Mafia for money laundering.

Be happy you escape with your life.

    Tamatave 300.000 inhabitants.

    Toliara 156.000 inhabitants.

    Tamatave

Thank you Neddy for your response. I know I can only stay in Madagascar for 3 months. After 2 months I go to Mauritius and back to get a new visa. I have looked at the Booking.com site but I am looking for a house for 300 or 400 euros a month. I will look further. Haha no I didn't fuck all the girls in Nosy Be. I wish I was that strong. I just wanted to say that there is more available in Tamatave. Thanks for your reply. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

    https://www.booking.com/hotel/mg/la-creole.fr.html

Alternative. Make a long time deal with a hotel a knock down prices. There is not a lot to do in the evening in Tamatave too. And its dangerous walking after nightfall. See if you last three months. LOL.

And there is only 3 good months weather wise. September to November. Low humidity. Low rainfall.

    La Buse.

A week in Nosy Be and you claim to have fucked all the women. Maybe all you did was standing in front of Taxi Be... You didn't look properly mate. There is 100's. Go to Tati Chris. There's a 100 alone there. LOL.
