Am I missing something?

If you actually completed the entire program at EAFiT making it thru the 15th class than that is impressive. I was placed after being tested in the Level 4 Class and made it thru the Level 7 Class and enjoyed the school and the teachers, but was way in over my head after Level 7. It's brutal and doing the 4 hour a day classes will burn you out in a hurry. So I did the Levels 5, 6, and 7 courses based on a two hour a day program so each level course took a month. So after a pause in studying Spanish I decided to resume studying Spanish and hired a private tutor. I'm glad I attended EAFIT, but would not recommend it for much more than Levels 6-7. At this point your better off hiring a private tutor and it won't cost much more, plus you will have a lot more flexibility in what you learn. However for some people, EAFIT will be to structured for them and with lots of homework. Since it's a certified program worldwide it's not going to be like TOUCAN which is more conversational. If you want to properly learn to read and write Spanish, and are used to taking University level courses, than EAFIT will be a good fit for you. IF its just conversational Spanish you want to learn, than TOUCAN might be a better option.

What I do remember from the classes at EAFIT is that there were a lot of younger students from all over the world, and most of them already spoke a minimum of two languages so they really excelled while I struggled. But I have a come a long way since then, and what a difference it makes when you can communicate, especially with the women here.

Thanks I want to become conversationally fluent, my Spanish is decent but the hard part for me is understanding when people talk. If it's above childlike, I can't understand barely anything. I can speak pretty well and have good survival Spanish, so improving conversation and comprehension are my main goals not really grammar. But I'll check out EAFIT for more info.

You should flat out tell your Spanish instructors that your in Medellin to hopefully meet and fall in love with a Paisa and that's why your studying Spanish. You will most probably get special attention from the instructors in your quest with tips on how interact with Colombian women in Medellin. Like cute things to say in Spanish to your supposed dates, etc.

Little will they know, but probably already know, that with your new found Spanish speaking skills you will be better able to manage multiple Chicas, pull off threesomes effortlessly, negotiate and bargain hunt for sexual services, and interact with the hundreds of Venezuelans and Colombian SW's roaming the streets of El Centro.

You didn't compare to Viva Air, IS. A nonstop flight from Miami to Medellin is $167 on Feb 1 and $82 on June 1. Go to Viva Air or use skyscanner or kayak and check out how much it costs for bags, an assigned seat, and full rights with changes and cancellation. Those charges are about half that of Spirit or less than half that of Spirit.

Your best bet is to message the hosts. Make that shit explicitly clear about what you are seeking. I have had a few told me its best to look elsewhere or that they allow visitors but no sex tourism. Some have told me that they only allow a certain amount of visitors per week or something of the sort. Some are good but I am hesitant to try them because I have also heard stories that they lie to get you to book and when you get there its not how you think it is. And the good ones seem to always be booked. Just keep asking and make a list for future reference.
