Before there were three clubs but Elektra shut down. Ever since the clubs are so full you can barely move around them. The nice thing about the plaza is you get to collect a lot of numbers. It's far more laid back than the clubs which I avoid.

And before that LDV was in Laguito and like three times the size with 180 degree bar, some breathing room, and room to maneuver. But I'm just an old geezer being nostalgic about the Good Old Days.

At TDR a guy tried to shake my hand and then tried to steal my watch, so be careful. Some of the younger kids in TDR were also trying to act as security guards for 100 k pesos per hour and starting trouble if you didn't agree. After those issues I decided to skip TDR and just go straight to the clubs. My only complaint about the clubs were too many people. No room to move and no way to really talk to a girl.

At the Torre Del Reloj you need to completely ignore any male who approaches you. Waste of time, waste of money, waste of everything. I just shake my head and ignore them. They go away.

You didn't mention Isis which is a strip joint on the same street. I only pulled once from there. It was 300 k including the motel fee for a place around the corner.

Stayed at the Palmetto Eliptic thru Airbnb. $50 US per night + fees. Visitors allowed to enter between 9 am and 10 pm and stay with you until 2 am. You can register a visitor as your guest before 10 pm and then they can stay overnight. 33 K pesos to register them as your guest.

The first couple days I went to Playa Hollywood between noon and sunset. Girls were around 200 k pesos for one hour. CBJ and sex. Nothing special but seeing them in bikinis upfront was a huge plus. Picked up one girl from Barranquilla and one girl from Medellin. Both were introduced to me by Pedro, one of the waiters that works for the original Tony Montana, the owner of the bar on Playa Hollywood. Pedro doubled the price of drinks, added a service charge, intro charge for the girl, chair charge and a tip. Total usually came out to100 k to 150 k pesos. I would give him half what he wrote down. He would bring girls to me and I would say yes or no until he found one I liked. Sometimes he would run all over the beach for an hour bringing me girls. I worked out a deal with one of the girls for 200 k then she told me Pedro was charging her 50 k so she asked for 250 k. Pedro also took 100 k from me for 5 beers (1 he added for himself without asking me) and intro. So the below post about 50 k from the girl and 50 k from the customer seems right. All the girls offered their number so if you really want to avoid the intro fee you can just leave and text the girl on WhatsApp later. Also, most of the girls weren't local and didn't know Tony or Pedro. So if you think these "Tony's" have any pull over the girls you're wrong. Most of the girls were new or staying for a week in Cartagena then going home. I tried the beach in front of the Intercontinental and right before Playa Hollywood. The waiters offered the same thing, to bring girls but they would have to call and you would have to wait. So if you don't want to wait you can go to Playa Hollywood, which will have around 7 girls. I paid the intro fee to sit under an umbrella with a cold beer and have girls brought to me. And to avoid offending a non-working girl or worse someone's daughter / GF. Some of the girls will smile and come to you on their own.

I also used photosprepagados and millieroticos to message girls thru Whats App using a translator. 120 k to 250 k pesos for one hour. BBBJ, COB, COF, sex and anal. Easier than Playa Hollywood but you don't get to actually see the girl. Most of the fotos were real with some photoshop. Maybe 20 girls actually responding. Wish they had Smooci here. There was a Venezuelan group with an incall in Cabrero for 170 k pesos and outcall to Bocagrande for 200 k that had lots of skinny young girls that would do everything. They were great and I saw three of their girls.

Best looking girls were in Dulce Vita and Space but I also saw them at TDR. 200 k to 250 k pesos for one hour plus 50 k for a motel. You'll need your passport or driver's license or other ID to use the motel, a photo on your phone or paper copy works. 10 k pesos for a taxi to / from Bocagrande to the clubs or TDR. On my last night one of the taxi drivers asked for 20 k. When I told him 10 k he tried to palm my 10 k peso note and tell me I only gave him 5 k. So again be careful.

Used bbva and Scotia Colpatria to withdraw cash. Bbva is 300k per withdrawal. It cut me off after 900k. Not sure if that is the daily limit or a bank error. Scotia Colpatria is 900k per withdrawal up to 2.7M per day. No fee.

I don't negotiate with the girl unless she asks for something crazy. (One girl asked for $200 US but took 200 k pesos) To me, an extra 50 k to 100 k pesos isn't worth losing or offending the girl. I'm fortunate enough to not need the money.

My 2 cents for anyone interested, this was my second trip and most likely my last. Visited Medellin, Cartagena, Cali, Santa Marta, Barranquilla, and Bogota last year. Bogota's strip clubs were great but Bogota is too cold with nothing else to do. Not enough girls to choose from in the other cities, maybe 100 total at all the bars and clubs combined. Colombia is also still too rough (too many crooks) and they don't speak enough English. I took Spanish in high school and college but still prefer traveling to places where I can speak English. I can meet the same girls in Tijuana for the same price and they speak English. Hong Kong Strip Club in Tijuana probably has 100 girls by itself on the weekends. And for around the same price I can get a girl in Asia for multiple hours or all night. And I can stay at a 5 star hotel and bring the girl to my room without any problems. And in 10 years of visiting Asia I haven't been robbed or threatened once. The pool of girls is around 1000 in Pattaya, Bangkok and Angeles each. There are better and easier places to find girls. YMMV.

Having used someone similar when I was there -I can tell you that the middle man doesn't add real value unless you can somehow validate that what you are getting is super unique. In my case, whatever Jason pulled (and a few folks in this group have used him) was the same that was available post 9 pm at Centro.

I've been biting my tongue on this. I have no experience with Tony, or Cartagena, but I think you are holding on to a misconception.

Tony, any pimp, or any tout, isn't in it for a high customer satisfaction rating. They're in it to get the most profit for the least amount of work. He'll bring you whoever he thinks he can get you to take. "Exactly what I want" isn't a concept he is likely to understand. After you tell him what you want, he'll bring something else. When that's not good enough, the price goes up, for exactly what you want. That girl won't be it either. Before you know it, you'll be accepting someone no better than the first girl, who was already overpriced, for 80 k more.

If she's lousy in bed, if she steals from you. He'll offer you a different girl, who is guaranteed to be great, honest, gorgeous, for the same price. He's not going to give you a refund. He's not going to be intimidated if you tell at him. The most he's likely to do, if you stick to your guns from the very beginning, is provide an acceptable girl for a slightly higher price than you expected to pay.

Playa Hollywood is about 800 to 1000 feet long, its not a jungle. Tony is only interested helping Tony so there is no guarantee he is going to show you the hottest chicas on the beach, but the ones he thinks he can hustle for the biggest piece of the pesos that you fork over. If I were you then I would do a little hunting first and then if you feel you have exhausted your effort maybe consider Tony but in the meantime I would avoid him like the plague.

If you are from Europe use a starling card for no ATM fees or foreign transaction fees abroad and you get the Mastercard exchange rate. Then use bbva or Scotiabank Colpatria for no local fees. That's what I've been doing.

I should be in Cartagena on the 24th for a week.
