Just in case anyone did not realise, "Katoon" is the Thai way of spelling Cartoon, as they borrowed the word from English, but they pronounce it somewhat like Gartoon.

What are current rates in shops like Cherry, Mango and Snow White for an hour or two of fun?

Expect 1800 or 1900 for an hour and like 2300 for 2 hours. Giver or take 100-200 baht or so. 1.5 hours is usually in the middle. This is the final price, you do not need to tip the girls (but of course you may).

This is also a long way of saying, generally 1. 5 or 2 hours is what you should be ordering. Once you've paid for the first hour, its not much more to get a second. And with the kind of service offered at SW and Cherry, go more than an hour if you can, its worth it.

I used to enjoy the Chit Lom Akana Korean style salt bath. For last six or seven years I have been trying to find a similar place but I have not found one yet. Last December I went to Su Esthetic hoping I'll get a similar experience but it was not any where close. Don't get me wrong she did a very professional massage and it was good but it was not what I was looking for.

I was also a big fan of Akane Chit Lom. A body scrub and a BJ is the best way to start a holiday IMO.

Haru Akasuri Massage on soi 26 next to Snow White does a salt scrub and akasuri body scrub, I think with just a HJ. I will be there in 3 weeks to try it out. Kocho Ran on soi 33 also offer the same service, I haven't been there since they moved. There is also Nico at Asoke, I don't think they do a salt scrub though, and the lift to get up there is a bit scary LOL. Also Sazanka down the bottom of soi 16 and Sakura as previously mentioned.
