If you've researched then you will be upto speed, it was just the comparison with pattaya, but having read back I think that related to the safety aspect only and not the nightlife.

Sanur is pretty quiet, Kuta is more lively, I found both safe at night.

In Kuta you will get massage girls on the streets, you will not in sanur but sanur has X houses but these are quick places which you do not want so I would say Kuta is best.

I hope you have done your homework, this ain't pattaya, no girlie bars, no beach girls etc.

That's the location of the ground zero Bali memorial.

Using the memorial as landmark, take a stroll North or South and walk for a couple of hundred meters on Jl Legian during evening hours / night time, in either direction. There are plenty, most will hang around in front of the clubs. Some you may also find right in front of the memorial, at the entry point of Poppies II.

Tip 1 - they ask for 500 k. That includes a ST room at 100 k. Negotiate it down to 400 k. You can always tip them the extra 100 k and make it 500 k if they do well.

Tip 2 - single girls on motorbikes offering 'transport' are on the game. They will know where to find cheap rooms.

Tip 3 - when Jl. Legian is crowded, watch your pockets.

Tip 4 - a couple of hundred meters down south of the memorial are LB's. Some are so feminine, in the dark, you won't be able to tell they are not girls.

Tip 5 - during the day time, there are no streetwalkers. You can use Salon Rica. It's noted down on Google Maps as 'Beauty Salon'. Hehe. It's not.

Visited this place a couple of weeks back. There is another branch in Seminyak which is apparently bigger and better. The Kuta place has only 6 rooms and 8-10 girls to choose from. The other place apparently has 30+ girls working. Although not all might not be shown in line up. I did pass by that branch one day, and it is more on the likes of Alexis / Mali. One stop place.

There are 2 types of rooms, regular and spa (room. The latter is about 150 K costlier and has a bigger bed and attached shower. It is on the second floor, the regular ones are in first floor with a couple of common showers. I took the upstairs spa room.

Picked a girl from the line up (name was Archa? She had a couple of tattoos and not skinny. Also had longer hair which I find attractive. Local girl apparently, and the drill started. You choose what service you want (they have interesting names). Took their signature one.

The massage is done with a oily lotion, not quite nuru gel but less slimy. Started on the back with hands, then moved to b2 b. Mirrors on the wall let you enjoy the views. Full body access allowed but no sex, quite strict about it. She upsold a BJ from the standard HJ that's included. You pay 300 k more for the BJ + HJ option if you go for it. Managed to get her excited in the shower after the first BJ when we were cleaning up. What was supposed to be the second HJ ended up becoming a nice 69 BJ again on the couch. Can you confirm this and advise of any other locations the SW's might be found in Kuta if they actually exist, and or other places to find free lancers even if they are in bars which I don't like. My preference is for older girls, more like 30 versus 20.

67 x typically has awake girls in the afternoon, 1 or 2 pm on. Motorbikes are a fantastic option particularly given you are experienced riders. I can strongly recommend "Roman's Motorbikes on Jl. Singosari (Kuta). 125 Honda Click ~80,000 day. Local guy, honest. If I let him know in advance, they can often give me a ride to the airport on the motorbike on my last day for free.

No question 67 x and many others fit the definition "shabby" and certainly not for everyone. As for "scared", well, I've been hitting this place for several years on visits and never saw anything to give pause to question safety there. Something you can do is buy a bottle of beer and sit at the outside table, relax (observe what is going on and make a decision about things. The handlers who work there can be helpful and friendly.
