I'll be spending six weeks down here this year and will attempt to report on my experiences here. First up, I headed over to Relax Oriental, I've spent years bouncing around the Via Argentina area and have always been curious about, but never sampled, this place. The girls there are not truly freelancers though, since regardless of what you negotiate with them you still have to pay a fee to the club, and the prices are very high. $150 just for the takeout fee and the girls start asking for $300 on top of that. Habanos, on the other hand, is an open air club full of girls who wear what they want and who kick back nothing to the club. They are freelancers, and you can take them out for less than the takeout fee at LE Palace, with a good selection to choose from and about the same expectations for service. You can do even better than that at more downscale clubs or via the classifieds, so it's whatever floats your boat.

For me LE Palace is fine if you just want to go for a giggle and ogle the girls, but the extra price doesn't guarantee better service and there's tons of good looking girls at the other clubs you can pull for far less, so not good value for your cash.

I was there a year ago. There are so many places in Panama to find hot girls and La Palace IMHO is not worth it given the costs. I did take a girl out from La Palace and while she was nice, service was just alright. Not worth the 700+ dollars I spent (bar+BF + girl for 2 hours).

Last night of adventuring and decided to go on a tour of El Dorado, bearing in mind that it's a Tuesday with expectations to match. The first stop, more on the way to El Dorado, was at a "de pueblo" bar called Bar La Gloria. La Gloria is off the main road and down a laneway with walls on either side. If you're not using Uber then look down the laneways until you see one that has what looks like an orange shrine with a line of blue lights over it. It's visibly lit and easy to see if you're looking for it. Drive down towards the shrine and it will open up into a parking lot. When I got there the parking lot was empty but the club was open. The security guy was clearly surprised to see a gringo approaching the club and I stuck my head in and saw 5 average looking girls and no male patrons at all. I always feel a bit uncomfortable being the only guy in a joint like that and since I had asked the Uber guy to wait while I checked it out (based on the empty parking lot) I jumped back in and off we went. I didn't go inside to get pricing, but I do know that it's a time joint. Middle level club that locals patronize. Looked ok.

Next I went to Golden Time, in the Plaza Mirage kitty corner to El Dorado mall on the main drag. I thought it was a club, but it's actually just an MP. What fooled me was that it doesn't open until 7 pm. Nice selection of girls, all wearing some kind of black lingerie. I saw about a dozen and could have done half of them. Pricing $120/ HR.

From there I went to the back side of the mall along the second line of chinese stores behind the mall, the section facing the street. The Club Miami is there. I walked in and was immediately transported back to the 70's. It's set up like a strip club inside, with mirrors everywhere and a stage running through the center of the club. Lots of red pleather everywhere. 5 girls that I could see in there. 3 of them were immediately doable, and the other two might have been doable too if you were hitting late night and selection was dropping. Unfortunately the pics I got include the 2 plainer ones. The place had really annoying techno music but the girls were good. Price quoted was $130/ HR. As much as I liked the girls I didn't want to pay that much.

Decided to give Gruta Azul a final try. Got there and it was a total sausage fest. Maybe 20 guys in there and 6 girls, 3 of whom were lounging out on the terrace smoking. No interaction at all. In this particular time on this trip I have found the Gruta Azul to be a complete waste of time after 3 visits.

Next I went to Capri Club. By far the busiest of the clubs thus far, with the highest number of girls, but also the lowest average level of looks for the night, which surprised me. Couldn't see anyone I wanted, and when they brought out the spinning wheel for prizes I decided I'd had enough and left empty-handed. Another surprise, exiting at 12:30 am, is that Uber service was "not available in the area" Not sure why, as this is not one of the more sketchy areas. There were a couple of taxis parked in front of the place but I know better than that and walked to the corner and flagged on. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.

You guys have seen pics of the other places previously, but I'm including some of Club Miami here, and since I'm just doing a wanuncios girl tomorrow that means this is the end of the reports for this trip. Happy hunting all!

Sorry to hear that you got charged the chica fees. I have done this many times and so far I have been lucky by using the elevator at the casino. Just a quick question, which camera took your pictures? I don't recall seeing a camera at the casino elevator unless they just installed it recently.

It is what it is. I didn't allow it to ruin what was a great trip. But to answer your question it wasn't a camera near the elevator it was literally still photographs of video surveillance on my actual floor like pointing at my room door as I walked into my room. It is not a place to go at night, even the locals get regularly treated to armed robbery. During day time it might be acceptable for some younger gringos AS LONG AS they are not the UGLY American type.

The older you are and the whiter your hair is, it is a big NO NO 24/7.

On another subject. Guys talk about being charged only $25 for 15 minutes. If you are young and ready to go at the starting gun bang, I am sure it is do-able (memories of my youth) but when the age creeps so does the time and 4 times $25 make the same charge as Habanos per hour.

First off, I agree that San Miguelito is a bad area with dangers. With that being said, San Miguelito is also a large area and not all parts are created equal. While I certainly wouldn't walk around everywhere the Gran Estacion area is a shopping area and a mall. I have walked all around that area in daytime without any sense of threat or danger whatsoever, along with the children and grannies and everyone else who has errands to run or things to buy. I wouldn't hesitate at all to walk around there freely in daytime. Notice I am referring specifically to the Gran Estacion area. I am emphatically NOT recommending that you go on a lion hunt all over San Miguelito. Now, at night time common sense travel should dictate that you don't wander around at night because even though the Gran Estacion area is not so bad compared to other parts of San Miguelito at night there's no point in taking unnecessary risks, and better does not necessarily mean good. Going to the Bombonera should be a low risk proposition provided you use common sense. The club is located in a well lit area, there is security at the front of the club and cars can come right to the front door, as well as being right next to a restaurant and across the street from other restaurants that operate at night, as well as regular traffic. You can use Uber to be dropped off right at the door and picked up right at the door, and I think if you do that you're fine. You can even stay inside the club until your Uber arrives to pick you up. What I do not recommend, and I mentioned this earlier, is you going wandering around outside of that area and around the mall and side streets. There is no need for you to do so and again common sense in minimizing risk would indicate that you don't. Be smart and have fun. Also, Mellow is absolutely right about not being an Ugly American, and that's good advice anywhere.
