I am too recent here to have known the "old" Soi 6 but I reckon 60 % of the girls eschew eye contact with me. That leaves enough girls to have sex with but I can't help thinking why the fuck so many don't want my business. They see me walk by 5 times a week shortly after opening time when clients are few.

On my trip to Pattaya a week or so ago, I was there primarily to meet and hang out with a friend of mine of several years from Wales. He is 28 years old, tall, blonde, handsome, built like Superman, a face like a young Paul Newman, quick-witted, personable, speaks more Thai than I do, lives a few months of the year in Hua Hin with his beautiful Thai girlfriend and their baby.

To say I am virtually invisible to the girls when I walk around with him is an understarement. LOL. Every other dude in the vicinity is invisible when this guy is strolling by. Eye contact? The girls climb over each other to jump on him. He can easily get it for free or nearly free most places, but he is not silly enough to accept it for free when he knows the girls need money.

He was fine with the looks of many Soi 6 girls. As I posted earlier, in terms if looks, on this trip to Pattaya I saw a few more better looking girls on Soi 6 than I'd seen before. Maybe that is a mixed blessing due to this Nightwish group's influence.

But here is the kicker. That friend of mine had essentially the same rate of failure to hook up with a good girl who gives good service in Pattaya as I do! LOL. Now, I need to clarify that he is strictly a barebacker, same as me. So that is the minimal starting point for him to qualify for "good" sex for money. And he is fine with "going with the flow" as well as clearing up all the condom issues before taking a girl.

In his 4 nights there he found exactly one girl that he had an attraction for and was good to go bareback with him. And she was actually a rather plain jane compared to all the hotties tripping over themselves to just touch him.

He was so turned off by the bullshit, he just repeated that same girl two days.

Go figure.

All show and no go with too many of the Pattaya/Soi 6 girls lately? Could be. At least as far as what my friend and I consider worth the time, effort and money, that is.

I don't have enough experience to tell the difference of how the girls look when they come from Isaan compared to other parts of the country, but I am sure there are differences. The girl I was with this weekend comes from someplace near Phuket she told me and that is far from Isaan I think.

You are the second guy responding that doesn't think it's impossible to find part-time weekend working girls in Pattaya that comes here from Bangkok to work during the weekends. The rest of the guys saw it as bullshit coming from a girl when they heard the story of a girl being in University in Bangkok during the weeks and come to freelance in Pattaya during the weekends.

I think it's refreshing to hear your and Mr Enternationals voices and I see you as open minded to see that the reality can be like that, and that not all girls found in Beach Road or the discos by default are lying trashy girls that basically are full of lies. I do know many girls lie but I don't assume that just because I hear a different story, that it must mean that the girl is lying. Those guys that automatically see girls as full of lies and not to be trusted at all, well to me that is being just narrow-minded, prejudiced and to see the girls in a simple-minded stereotype way.

Mr E and I have lots of experience in Thailand. I've lived here for over 20 years. Gals have been supplementing their incomes by doing a bit of P4 P on the side ad nauseam. Back in the day Thermae would be filled with part-timers the last weekend of the month as gals wanted to make a bit more than their meager office jobs paid them. I had gals drive me to the PB Hotel in their cars. BKK gals have been hitting Pattaya to work forever as well. They feel less exposed and are less likely to be seen by people they know there. Perhaps they head down with a friend and they both are looking for a little extra money. When they go to a disco and find a dude they are attracted to and he gives them some money, then they feel less like a working gal as opposed to putting a post up on finfinfan.

OK it's not all South East Asians and not all working girls but deserved or not it's real, visitors from these here parts have an image problem with Thai working girls.

Cultural differences in behavior and attitudes towards paying for sex and those working in the business which reflect social norms and caste structures back home along with issues on personal hygiene and call it for what it is a negative perspective on dark skin all combine to often make these nationalities feel less than welcome.

It doesn't help that negotiating price is quite often a drawn out contentious exercise nor does mongering in groups of 5 or 6.

Heretofore it didn't matter a lot to the business side of the P4P scene in Thailand but it's now undeniable that in destinations such as Pattaya this demographic is making up an ever bigger share of demand. Money talks and both the operators and the girls are realizing this and adjusting their attitudes and with some changes in behavior on the part of the visitors going forward hopefully this issue will become less of an issue.

It seems not so likely that Thai people with good jobs and a good income will come to Pattaya for example to turn tricks (but I am sure it has happened at times when girls are in need for extra cash and when the expenses are very high). But to me it makes sense that a student will do it as a way to get an income, instead of not having to take so high student loans. I was with the girl again yesterday, and had a great time with her, and we talked about many things. One thing is how she supports herself when she is in University and at this point she can support herself and don't need to take student loans.

She told me that during her first year in University she needed to take loans but now she supports herself with the money that she makes by working in Pattaya during the weekends plus that she makes some money in school also. She told me that she can earn around 10 000 and up to 15 000 Baht per month in school, by helping friends in her class with homework and so. For example when some of her friends are lazy or whatever and misses class, she helps them to catch up for some money. This is what she told me and being true or not I am sure many will doubt. But at least she told me that she supports herself with this plus working in Pattaya and doesn't need to take student loans anymore. If I was a student myself I am sure I would be happy to find a way to avoid student loans, and to do some extra work besides studying would be a good way to avoid the loans.

Since the Nightwish Group opened up their 15 bars or so bars price creep along this soi 6 have gotten stupid 1500 + 400 + 180 Ld, one can find much better looking girls in a German FKK and Cheaper these days, Why spend the money on the fare to BKK and endure 12 hour flight each way when one can spend the fare on a few girls in a German FKK.

Soi 6 was so much better when it was all enclosed bars / brothels and was devoid of loud music and the "party" atmosphere. The transformation made a once pleasant experience into a one that I find less than desirable. And having one owner for so many bars is never a good thing. When they were all independent, each had its own personality as opposed to being cookie cutter with only colors to differentiate them.

All the girls have opinions. It depends on them who to go with and who not to go with. Maybe some had bad e experience with somebody. This could be Germans, French, Americans, Indians, Chinese, Japanese or any number if nationalities who visit there. Yes, sometimes Indians are denied entry in clubs. This maybe due to they have bad experiences before.

I am sure vast majority of Indians are liked. I am sure many go home happy. There are literally thousands of willing girls. Maybe some prefer Koreans only, or prefer British only. Likewise they may not like some nationalities.

I am sure many Indian visitors spend lots of money and well behaved. You cannot stereotype whole people. Especially not take the word of a street prostitute. If she did not like to go with Indians why did she go with one to a club willingly. Maybe the guy was negotiating cheaper price. We all negotiate.

It maybe true this girl comes to make money on certain days. Competition is tough on beach road, They are human beings. Walking beach road every day is tough life. It is the same in like any of the freelancer places. They get tired of not earning any money whole night.

I have no idea of numbers but I am sure at least 95% of Indians have no problems at all here but a few percent of them will run into problems because they are Indians and I get curious why that is so. To me, what the girl told me yesterday was a piece of information that I found interesting to hear, that added something to the whole picture as to why some Indians are not seen very well here. IMHO might be there have long history why the Indians or look alike Indians guys are refused, denied or rejected (rather I would not say discriminated). In my experience several times I picked the girl right after she refused an Indian or look alike Indian guy. That happened in Grace Hotel gate, BKK or in Beach Road Pattaya too. When I asked the girls why they did not went with them and answers were almost same and points are as follows:

1. Indian guys are cheap charlie, always try to pay less, even a little of their agreed amount and doing nasty bargain in paying time.

2. As it happens that, one guy make the deal with the girl and once she enter in the room she found there are more guys waiting to fuk her. Some how if the girl agree to give a fuk but paid literately half of she suppose to be paid if they make individual deal.

3. When the group became together too much talkative among to them, disrespectful to the girl and treat the girl badly.

These are the opinion I have been informed from the girls I met and absolutely not mine. Might be these days they have been changed but the phobia is still there. I can remember once I was entering in the Tony's Disco at walking street, Pattya, right behind me an Indian looks guy was entering but he was stopped. Later I asked the bouncer why that Indian guy has been stopped, he said he will not buy as much drinks as a white guy will buy. IMHO sure its a wrong concept.

And then the airline schedules will all need to change and travel agents and hotels will go broke. The guy who brings Indians to Pattaya from the airport will then be out of business. And the soapies will close down. And the curry shops will shut. Some how I don't think anything of this is going to happen. Indians are one of the biggest tourist groups to Thailand. They keep coming because Thai hookers like the money. Money is the only thing that matters.

The gogo bars may deny entry to the Indians at 9. 00 pm, but the Indians still go home with same girls when their dance clubs close at 4. 00 am. Go figure. I guess that this sort of blatant racial discrimination at the door keeps the white and East Asian punters feeling smug and superior.

That is not hard to believe at all. I met a chick online 3 or 4 years ago. She said she lives in Bangkok and works at a restaurant, but comes to Pattaya some weekends to work on Beach Road. One of those weekends that she arrived, I went to pick her up at the bus station. She stayed with me for 1000 baht LT, but said ordinarily she would not do that. Kept calling me cheap and stuff (still does to this day).

Eventually she got a job working for some Indian people in Pattaya. For the last 2 years she has been living at their house off Soi Regional Land and sometimes travels around Thailand and to India for work. These days she comes to spend the night for free. She knows I mess with other chicks, just asked that I don't let her see me with them. Shit is not always so far-fetched as you may think. There are plenty of other chicks that come from Bangkok to work the discos on weekends as well.

It's interesting to read your post and you unlike the other guys don't see it as unlikely that a girl will come from Bangkok during the weekends to work in Beach Road. I am sure there are many examples and different stories to each and every girl as to how they are to be found working in Beach Road. I don't see it as unlikely myself for a girl to travel from a rather nearby city like Bangkok, to work in Pattaya. After all it is just a two hour bus ride away and it's cheap to go here back and forth. As a comparison I can mention that I go to Rio de Janeiro sometimes and many times have I heard of girls coming from rather far away just to work one or two days in the bars. For example on my last trip I was meeting a girl that came to a bar called Mab's and she lived in Campo Grande which is two hours away, just like the distance Bangkok to Pattaya. I understand that Mr Enternational lives here in Pattaya and has plenty of experience of meeting so many girls and has experienced and heard of so many different stories, to know that it may very well be possible that a girl is in University during the weeks in Bangkok and goes to Pattaya during the weekends to make some extra money.

To add something to the topic of ethnical groups, I was thinking if I myself discriminates towards any groups of girl, like some girls seems to do towards Indians for example, and for whatever reasons that may be. I actually do and while being here in Thailand I tend to avoid Russian girls and also the black girls that I have seen in some bars in Walking Street. I am sure many of them are fine to be with but I avoid them as a group. I was one time in a Russian club in walking Street and I felt unpleasant to be there and it felt like a scam. Since then I have never returned to any of those bars and I will avoid them completely. I have also heard opinions from others that Russian girls many times will scam you, so I think it's better to avoid Russian girls as a group here, although I am sure the scamming doesn't apply to all Russian girls in Pattaya of course. It must be many of the Russian girls that are nice to be with but I don't want to take the risk of getting a bad experience when there is a rather high likeliness to be cheated. Same with the black girls that are here; I am sure that many of them are OK but the ones that I have been talking to gave me bad vibes so I avoid them as well as a group. I don't know if it is a very good comparison to the topic of Indian guys and why they sometimes are rejected in general, but it is an example of bad tendencies in ethnical groups and what it can lead to.
