In both Colombia and Costa Rica Amor is very commonly used even among strangers. Bebe, cario, mi vida etc are not. In US waitresses commonly call customers Hon. I'm oftentimes called Amor by strangers and it is just a nice way to greet someone whose name you don't know. It works both ways. Truth is, both of you are kind of right. It's really specific to the individual person and situation.

The higher people are on the socioeconomic ladder, the less likely they will be to call you "amor".

The colder the climate, the less likely.

And in Medellin, it's usually just "mor" instead of "amor."

Never had any Colombian friends who weren't P4P call me amor, more, bebe, etc. Although a few have used "Mijo."

If I'm chatting with a girl about setting up a P4P meeting and she talks to me as if she's someone who does P4 P, it's not going to bother me. If I'm asking a nun for directions and she blurts out "amor, dame la verga en mi culo" it's probably going to throw me off.

Look at freelance websites and see if there is anything that will allow you to work from home. Video Editing, Music, Photo Editing, Day Trading, find businesses who need a representative in foreign countries, web developer, IT developer / coder, Travel Agent, Podcaster, Blogger, Telemarketer, Call center rep / Tech Support specialist, Teacher / tutor, Author / Writer / Editor, Graphic designer, Software tester, Hacker, Meeting / convention / event planner. I could go on and on. What do you have a talent for and make a plan.

One of the services that you go through, to get a bitcoin wallet, asks all of these security questions, and one of them shows you a map of your city and asks you to name which cross streets are the closest of the multiple options. About the Facebook thing, if you want to keep this separated from say the activity that your coworkers, friends and family see, then here are a couple of tips. Absolutely you would be better off with a separate profile. This is getting harder to do because FB has tightened up on fake and duplicate profiles. Also you have to start over. So here are a few tips if you choose or have to stay with your primary profile.

In Facebook you can choose who sees your post as was stated earlier. This is important too because if a chica can see your post than they can "like" of even comment on your posts and your whole Facebook world might then take notice. You can have a set group of friends who see your posts, yes it is a pain in the ass but once you do it once, you do not have to do it again. You can separate your friends into categories, say you put all your chica friends into the category of "acquaintances" , then when you go to post "I am on a flight to Medellin" go to the box where you make a post, click on "create a post" then in that box that pops up there is another box that wants you to say who you are posting to it might say "Public" of "Friends" etc, if you click on that box a drop down box opens and you can scroll down and see "acquaintances" . Disclaimer: I have never tested this. You can also create your own groups. You want a group that says "Medellin" you can do this. When you click on someones profile and you see the box that says you are "friends" you can click on that box and drop down opens, says "close friends" "acquaintance" scroll down and it says add to another list, click that and at the bottom of that is an option that says "new list". , type in say Medellin and that creates your medellin list and it will be a new option everytime you add another friend.
