How much does it cost to force a shut down of the wet markets in China? Global stock markets lost nearly 20 trillion dollars due to the virus and unmitigated damage to global economies too. If even a small fraction of that could be directed to invent, bully, cajole, bribe a shutdown of those infernal markets, it will be money well spent.

Guys, German FKK clubs are currently probably one of the most dangerous places in the world in terms of catching Coronavirus, particularly the clubs in NRW where over 1400 confirmed cases are as of today. WGs are in high-risk profession and the monger is almost guaranteed to be infected if his WG is infected. So be careful.

I would say commuting trains are most dangerous, much more people in small enclosed place than almost any other places, but some nations began doing the remote work.

Why didn't you just change your flight to a different date in the future? Because of this pandemic and the recent travel ban, many airlines allow the passengers to change their flights without paying any fee. You can change the flight as late as up to 2 hours before your original flight departure. You should have called Expedia to do that since you didn't book directly through the airline. Ok, even if you have to pay an administrative fee and the fare difference, it's still better than losing 800.

Regarding to losing 10 nights of hotel stay, you couldn't at least get a refund for 9 days? Seriously! For most hotel reservation, you will definitely lose your first day if you don't show up. You should still get the refund for the remaining days. No? I bet you probably prepaid your hotel in advance. Right? I would never prepaid hotel when I go on a mongering trip.

I tried rebooking but nothing worked. 2. 5 hours waiting time on the phone with expedia customer service. After a few seconds the woman put me on hold again and told me she will talk to her supervisor. A minute later she told me with Lufthansa I have no options, they refuse to rebook because the flight to FRA was not cancelled and left on schedule. They gave me a number to call Lufthansa. I did. Another 3 hours on hold. Within 30 seconds they sent me back to expedia and blamed expedia for giving false info. Also suggested I email Lufthansa customer relations to ask for a voucher. Classic BS.

Yes I booked hotel (actually an apartment) and the host offered 100% cancellation refund as long as it was 14 days before check in. That seemed quite reasonable back in Dec 2019. But I waited too long and didn't cancel hoping to go but you know what happened. Yes I make myself look like a fool but hope others can learn from it and know what to expect and avoid.

Have a booked flight on United Airlines between March 3rd and March 31st, and you can make changes over the next 12 months for whatever reason with no extra fees or charges. Other airlines are putting forth their own rule changes to help travelers get through this crisis, and to try to protect their own bottom lines.

I booked my next trip in December 2019. Was supposed to fly to FRA today for a 10-day stay in NRW. Having elderly parents and now mandatory quarantine coming back to the US, and completely unknown situation on the ground in Germany as it changes each day, decided to cancel the last minute. Ticket 800 USD booked via Expedia total loss. 10 nights hotel stay 650 USD total loss. Was able to cancel the car rental. I feel much worse about the ruined vacation rather than the money. A couple of my favorites ex LR and ex Samya are now both at Finca! Could have been a great trip but all ruined. Just sad.

I agree but it's mostly desperate for money I know quite a few of them already own apartments or houses back home. I would guess a majority of them are poor at managing their finances, have pimp boyfriends, put it all into their houses, or a combo of these. They've been jaded by making fast money and think it'll last. If they go home for an extended period they would also have some explaining to do on how they're able to take so much time off from their "job" and they need money to stay home.
