You can also use Follamigos (literally fuck-friends).

The problem for non citizens is getting back into their own country, not forced eviction.

Airline dislocation, entry and quarantine restrictions can make it difficult, and costly, for casual visitors to get home.

But for residents here, the weather's good most days and the store shelves are full of fresh food, beer and liquor. Folks here know how to take care of themselves and their families, without much government help.

Not a bad place at all to ride out this storm. Better than most from what I'm hearing back home.

Was discussing that in the Philippines thread the other day when a guy insisted he is going to buy a condo there. No way I would buy something overseas. I can leave these clothes, TV, and motorbike in my rented place in Thailand at the drop of a hat and say what a good run I had. But if I done bought some big ticket stuff like a condo and was forced to leave, my heart would be hurting like a mf.

I was going to fly to the Philippines next Tuesday. I still have ticket for April 21.

Philippines calls it enhanced quarantine. Its martial law. Must stay in. Road blocks in Manila and other cities.

Hoping March 29 is a good day when the mayor race is certified.

    DR curfew

I'm sure enough of you are aware that President Medina in the DR imposed a 8 pm to 6 am curfew for the entire country. Only essential personnel, people out seeking medical care etc are allowed to be out during curfew. This is supposed to last until April 3rd.
