The figures are likely inflated as was determined here in conversations back in the day when you failed to demonstrate any independent proofs. Regardless you rented a room from the girl, ran her camera for a year and left town with no money as you so confirmed. If there was any big money it certainly didn't trickle down in any shape or form.

What independent proof would you like? Shall I post her bank statements? Or just access her webcam account and screenshot her payout history? Finally, the offer was too good to pass up. My current income is almost 50% more than when I quit to go to Medellin, and 80% more than I was making 4 months ago. I'm doing better than ever and am reasonably happy about it.

This is an excellent point, is always a bad move to stereotype an entire nation or culture. When one does that they make themselves an easy target. Like the Colombians on our return flights to the states have visas and are often well educated and speak good English. No reason to bring the so called swimming in cash webcam girls into this as there's plenty of more reliable evidence at your fingertips.

People who are worried about "showing weakness", in my experience, tend to be insecure over their own strength. They beat their chests, or their wives, to show they're strong. " I don't need to act superior. Within the realm of being me, there is no one in the world who is better at it. As for inflation figures, have you forgotten about Google? You can easily bring up the annual inflation figures for any country then calculate the compound interest. You don't have to take anyone's word on it. While you're at it, pull up the Colombian minimum wage and see how much it has risen. If you just look at adding the annual inflation rate, since 2005 inflation rates total about 67%. Of course that doesn't take into effect the compounding effect. Let's say we start with $100 and inflation is 5% annually, how much will the $100 price go up in 5 years? $25! No. It will go up over $27. Over 10 years, instead of $150, it will be $162.89, 15 years yields $207.89 instead of $175. Now let's use Colombia's numbers:

Minimum wage 2005:381,500 COP.

2020:877,803 COP.

I was slightly off. Instead of more than doubled, nearly doubled. There's a possibility rents have outstripped inflation, but there's no available evidence to support it. Whether costs increased by 90% or 110%, an unchanged wage is still stagnant.

Ultimately, you appear to be saying we need to do away with the forum entirely. Everything that gets posted is just the word of a monger. We can't believe anything that's posted because it came from a monger. Even things which can be easily verified, from multiple independent sources can't be trusted because it was a monger that pointed it out.
