Posts: 139I cancelled the trip for now
I cancelled the trip for now. I had bought the tickets three months ago and was looking forward to being back there again. I was going to fly today to Santo Domingo but.
I had an apartment reserved in Puerto Plata but they refunded me with no problems.

I can't really state my real views here. I would get banned. But I see the global pandemic as a wake up call to modern society. We are all human. And the virus does not seem to give a fuck about the petty human concerns that tend to fill our lives. This is not a war. This is a basic fight for survival of each individual of the human species. It won't get us all.
Let's hope that saying: "What does not kill you makes you stronger. " is true. This is history gentlemen. We will all be different afterwards!

2- Why do you guys act like Dominican guys do not fuck Dominican hookers on a regular basis for a fraction of the cost? - nobody said that.
There ir a virus around, it doesn't matter if we are locals or tourists. The entire sector is affected, in all countries.
It is only a concern that exists in the sector, either there or here. That's it.

It also does not take a New York salary to live how they live. I don't get why dudes are worrying about the fate of hookers in other countries when regular people around them where they are from are about to go through some of the same shit. You are in the sinking boat next to theirs. You should be concentrating on bailing water out of your own boat. This same conversation is going on in several country threads. What are the hookers going to do? Fuck them hookers man! You need to be worried about what your friends and family are going to do.

Dominican Republic is known as a hot spot for sex tourism.
An estimated 100,000 women are sex workers on the island, with the covid-19, what will happen to all those families?
What other economic income can they have?
Is there any government help?
