These guys are a work of art at times! Ten years ago they build a new road parallel to the trains tracks, today you see 2 lanes in each direction when it was built it was 1 lane each direction it didn't make sense since people were turning the wrong way and driving down the wrong side. Then they decided to put in signal lights at all the intersections at a cost of 50 million baht, the first day they turn it on, traffic was at a standstill backed up for hours, then again when the tunnel on Sukhumvit was being built they came up with all these hair brain ideas how to divert traffic. Sadly I've seen Chinese fire drills glad I wasn't around last night!

After near 20 hours on the road driving up to the country and returning back with the family this morning, I needed a power nap, I woke up at 2 pm and got a call from my brother filling me in on what happened earlier but let's save that for later.
Needing some fresh air I told the wife going out on the bike to cruise and buy some water filters to see for myself first hand these so-call checkpoints. Since I'm on the Darkside I needed to start at the first point, since my filter store is down that way. As I got closer to Sukhumvit I was thinking where is all the traffic as I got closer I could see the checkpoint tent slow down abandon empty no one in sight. Got to Sukhumvit made my left continue south to Soi Siam Country made a left to checkpoint Two, tent abandon no one in sight! Now I was back on the Darkside, using road I called " The railroad Tracks " which is parallel to Sukhumvit on Nernpludwan barriers all gone allowing vehicles to get to Sukhumvit and then enter Pattaya Klang, Khao Noi, same barriers all gone, now Khao Talo, this is Mr. E. photo barriers all gone!
No point in going further to checkpoint 5, Not surprise someone must have said this is stupid Governor! Will do a follow-up tomorrow since my coffee shop is at checkpoint #2.
Now my brother's story!
My cousin original flight was scheduled for March 25th, it got canceled and rescheduled for today the 10th of April, he tried Eva all last week to confirm whether he was going today but all they had was a recording. On the 8th of April, he received an email confirmation from EVA that his flight schedule and confirm back to San Francisco for the 10th, leaving at 12:20 pm. My brother decided to drive him to the airport, with all the restrictions he arms himself with house book, passport, etc. Pick him up at 8 am after he checked out of his resort. Once at the airport dropped him off, at Gate 8, which was open a good sign my brother continue back on Hwy 7, back to Pattaya just as he got past the toll booth cousin called and said they fuck up that there was no flight to San Francisco and reschedule him again for May 5th?
The email was never supposed to have been sent out his 60 day Visa expires on the 12th of April since he arrived before March 1st now must report to Immigration to obtain another 30 days!

However the high end ones are still charging crazy fee. One of my Ukrainian contact still asking for 6 k for 2 hours. I don't mind giving her 6 k on typical days, considering she's 9 in my books. But I want to wait and see if her prices come down or she's getting enough business even now to keep the prices same.

Posts: 15811This covid thing seems to be working out in my favor. I have chicks that usually want money wanting to come over for free simply because they are bored.

Posts: 15811The lockdown is real. I just tried to take my LT from last night home to Khao Talo and they had it blocked off with concrete barriers at the railroad tracks. She walked across and a motorbike taxi picked her up on the other side.

Some days ago I complained about the abysmal quality on Beach Road / Hobbit Street.
Yesterday during my evening constitutional I came across a girl who looked marginally better than the Beach Road ordinary. She took my line ID and messaged me late at night. The deal was for her to come today at 2 pm.
Her asking price was 700. Maybe this was too cheap to be true and should have made me sit up and take noticed. This morning at 9 she sent me a short message, so I thought so far so good.
Well she ended up standing me up. When I called her at 2:30 she garbled something I couldn't possibly understand. She still sounded like she wanted to come but what more could I say to have her actually come? I had answered "yes" to all her requisites already.
Those girls are not right in the head. Must be lead poisoning.
I'll stick to Thaifriendly for new recruits. Quality not far above Beach Road but less brain-damaged.

I half expected an ER at a high profile hospital like that one near Ekkamai and a doable walking distance from Asian and Farang expat and long term visitor neighborhoods to be teaming with Covid-19 patients with their worried friends and next of kin occupying every seat in the waiting room.
Nothing like it. I sailed right in. The parking lot was not even 1/4 full. There were no more than 5 people in the ER and the main waiting room area combined. The GF I went to be with was possibly the only person waiting for a Covid-19 test result and hers turned out not to be Covid-19 but ordinary influenza instead.
And it must have been an extremely mild case of the flu at that. She was sending me video clips from.her condo on Line of herself giggling, dancing and shaking her butt that same evening.

Posts: 15811I met a chick on Thai Friendly yesterday and went to pick her up at 4 pm. Decided to ride around Pattaya to see what was going on. It was empty down Beach Road and on to Walking Street. Kept going to Jomtien and NaJomtien. Came back through Pratumnak. Things in Jomtien and Pratumnak appear as they always do. Many people out walking around and people at the beach and swimming. Complete opposite of what the ghost town of the tourist sections of Pattaya north and south are.
We got to my room at 6 pm. Hard to believe we were riding for 2 hours. This place must be bigger than I think it is. She sat around the room all day today naked. Didn't ask for food or anything. Finally at 4 pm I asked her if she wanted to go to her room or stay. She said she just needed to get a change of clothes. Even though she did not ask for money, I dropped her off and gave her 1000 baht (since she said she used to work at a bar on 13/1) and said I would see her later. She keeps sending me messages talking about she is studying her English. Already perfect to me. She was over here saying words in English that I needed a dictionary for!
Now I am on the way to Naklua to spend the night with a chick I met on TF a couple of weeks ago. That day she said she was looking for P4P. We made a deal for 1000 baht LT. She was a real freak. 22 years old. Begging to lick my ass and everything. I had to drag her out of here the next day. She was staying with a friend off Arunotai but has now gotten her own place and wants me to come over. I told her that I did not have money but she still wants me to come stay with her. So I better get out of here to beat the curfew.

I noticed the other day he had a big tent outside his restaurant with chairs I asked the waitress and she indicate Covi 19 will start stopping the vehicle and taking occupants temperatures? His checkpoint isn't too far from Soi Siam, from your map indication with the lack of manpower it would be tough to keep residents from traveling in and out of the Darkside especially all the motorbikes. Based on the maps there are just too many holes.
Nevertheless, I've pretty much cut down on going into town unless I need to use the Aeon ATM, the Darkside isn't as dark as people think, there isn't the large Big see's but we have more 7/11, Mini Tesco, Mini Big see, CJ's, all well stock than anywhere in the province. Then you got two of the largest Thai local market anywhere a booming business is still happening along with all the shops to buy any essential or not, today it seems there are more trucks cruising up and down Soi Siam selling fruits from up north, Durian seem to be in season. You can't go hungry even if you try, food and drinks stand open everywhere then you got all those sidecars selling bowls of noodles, cut fruit running through local neighborhoods.
It has been rumored for year they will build a large Big see or Tesco when that happens I wouldn't even side the tourist side except for? I just don't think it will happen but I've been wrong before!

Assuming working girls will get the 5000 payment is not a basis to feel they will be OK. Some of the more savvy will know how to register to get it but many will not even try.
As an aside what puzzles me are the stats on infections and fatalities here. If accurate we are living in arguably one of the safest countries in the world but are we. Hope so.

Somewhat similar to the way Unemployment Insurance is done in the USA. For now anyway.

Gentlemen (particularly LBM).
The following link refers to a PLANNED lockdown of Pattaya City, not allowing outsiders in. I emphasise planned, but the website has been fairly consistent over the past month in forewarning dictats from the Governor or City Hall. There's even a map of the proposed "no entry" zone.
https://thepattayanews.com/2020/04/0...y-law-for-all/
Plan seems to be to stop entry with checkpoints from (1) anywhere east of the railway (the dark side and the end of Highway7) (2) From the south around about where Jomtien becomes Na Jomtien on Sukhumvit. So after Beach Road turns inland (3) From the north from Sukhumvit somewhere around Soi Naklua 2.
