The USA has it worse than any other country right now and the curve has not flattened enough. Not only did I enjoy going to Monterrey but being able to buy medicine right across the border helps allot of Americans who don't have health insurance. Can Americans still go to Nuevo Laredo to buy medicine and cross the bridge right back to the USA? I know it's not even possible to travel in car from San Antonio to Laredo right now unless it's for essential purposes.
Good to see you back, Zygo, Greyhound still has 4 buses a day from SA to Monterrey and back. Turimex is totally closed down. Omex has 5 buses a day to Monterrey. You can get their schedules off the internet, you don't have to go to the station:

I usually go on Greyhound, use the others for backups, but just remember that their station in Monterrey is in the northern part of town, and you have to take the Metro to get downtown.

I was in NL Mar 28-29, no problems crossing either way, brought back 4 boxes of amoxicilina, declared them, no problems there either.

I know that. I was just speculating on whether they closed it for good, or for only a few weeks. Time will tell. Anyhow it was great while it lasted: great location, great pricing, great food, and didn't care if you brought in visitors.

Try the airbnb. I prefer over hotels now. Get a lot more for the money and haven't had a problem yet.

When I came across the bridge, from work yesterday, I was asked if I lived in Nuevo Laredo. There was no issues letting me pass.
Walked across the border last night, getting stricter by the day. They make you sign and take your temp. Laredo was a ghost town. Best to wait a couple more weeks. 2 girls I know tried to leave MTY to go to another city they were turned around and told to go home. Mexico is taking this pretty seriously, I am surprised. They may not have an economy after this and no one will have a job, time will only tell if it was the correct decision to close everything.

Some restaurants still allow people to eat inside, but many more are carry-out or delivery only. Presently there are no sanctions nor penalties for not wearing a face mask, unlike Laredo, TX, so some people refuse to do so. The policia and transitos are supposed to reminding people about the requirement, so I suspect many of those will try to say it is required and try to extort you for a "fine".

I do not think Mexico, can survive a month shut down, so I feel that the quarantine will not last one month. All countries will probably be forced to weigh there options.
