As far as hotel rapido. Now that you know where hotel Garcia is if you walk south on Constitution about 25 feet from garcia and then cross constitution you will be just about in front of Hotel Rapido.

As far as Mini its located in the alley on the North side. Somewhere between Constitution and La Valentina bar. Sorry I can't be more exact I get that one mixed up with the other hotel in that stretch. BUT I'm 90 % sure its the one just west of El Corral bar.

There are only a few hotels in La Zona with clean rooms and clean sheets for ST sex: Cascada, Ibiza, Garcia, Mini, Rapido. The rest are filthy with bad-smelling.

Hotels Cascades and Ibiza are large and pretty obvious hotels to notice with very large and obvious signage. Can anyone comment on the precise location of Garcia, Rapido and Mini?

Your post heading says decent and then you mentioned nice in the body of your report. I will assume you meant decent. If that's the case, I am a fan of Hotel Coahuila above Adelitas. It's decent to me especially the non-short time rooms on the third floor and you can't beat $20 a night Monday-Wednesday. A couple of my favorite photos that I've posted in this thread were taken in third floor rooms in Hotel Coahuila.

Hotel Garcia is located on the southwest corner of the crossroad intersection, directly above La Gloria Bar. Their main entrance is next to, and just east of Adelitas Bar.

Rapido Inn has a large sign. It is located on Constitution's east sidewalk, a few store fronts south of the crossroads (intersection of Coahuila & Constitution).

Hotel Mini is next to, and above, La Capruicilla (SP?) Bar. A long hallway in between two buildings on the east side of the alley's north sidewalk, leads to its oficina. It is basically nestled in between El Porton & La Valentina.

No, in the US it's offensive to call a Japanese or Thai or Korean person "Chinese". In Mexico, any Asian is referred to as "chino" and it is not intended as a slur.

Well theres not many asians to complain about that ignorance in Mexico. Calling every asian person chinese used to not be that offensive in the US because no asian person really gave that much argument against it. I agree that chino isn't really a slur, kinda borders it though but whatever. Like what Louie ck has said before, chino is like the word jew, it becomes a slur if you just add some stink to it. Chino, blackie, whitey, all are words that could easily be offensive or not depending on the user.

No, in the US it's offensive to call a Japanese or Thai or Korean person "Chinese". In Mexico, any Asian is referred to as "chino" and it is not intended as a slur.

Well, except the fact is that he is your coworker who you have worked with for a while. I've called the mexicans I went to school with pendejos all the time, but if you call a random person Gordo or pendejo, it might not go that well because they don't know you.

I've called some latinas I know cochina which wouldn't offend them. But that's a gamble to say to a random girl you just met you know?

Totally agree that what matters is whether you're talking to someone you're reasonably close to or a stranger. The quintessential example is the word cabron. My Mexico City and Sonora buddies call each other that all the time, but try saying that to a total stranger.

There's a difference between playfully taking the piss versus just using adjectives that other cultures find rude.

The thing is when your saying stuff to strangers they don't know you. You can normally call your friends stuff that would be offensive when you say it to random people, it doesn't really matter what culture. Chino is kinda like the word Jew. Just by saying it a certain way it can rub some people the wrong way.

When someone is yelling Coronavirus in your face. Your not a mind reader and you don't know them. They could be insulting you or not. If they were trying to be friendly there's better ways to go about it. When someone is busting your balls they usually have a past relationship with you. A random person shouting at you across the street is probably trying to get a rise out of you. Me yelling fried chicken at black people walking by is just a joke am I rite? Anyway, saying anything race related is going to be a gamble in hows it's going to be perceived.

Thanks for clearing that up. There is a Mexican guy I work with on occaison. The guy he works with calls him gordo and he is. So knowing the translation I was hesitant to use the term. But now that's how I greet him and its no problem.

Now on the other hand when female friends in Mexico refer to me as idiota. Yea I took it personal but I have learned to accept it.

Don't take it personally. I have heard that Mexicans are always joking in this way. Such jokes in the US can be offensive in Mexico is normal and no one is offended.
