Pattaya was struggling before 19 C. Sure it will return. But will non Pattaya enthusiasts return.

In Bangkok, some of the mall staff are already cutting corners and waving people through without them touching every base to get in or out.

How would you know if it was good service before you have had it?

You have mixed up the two markets. First up was grabbing a girl, no questions asked then paying what's fair in the morning. Now its pre negotiate the deal to ensure everyone is happy then leave. These are two different players and markets.

Guy1 is a long term resident whose face is known around town. Bar staff and girls have seen him many times and may even know him by name. The girls know that he knows how the game is played. He's known as frugal but will pay up and not be a hassle. He knows how much he is paying and the girls know how much they are getting even without discussing it beforehand.

Guy2 is new or has been in town once or twice. He has read up or spoken to friends about prices but isn't 100% sure on which places or girls are charging above or below standard rates. He's still got that deer in the headlights look. Girls haven't seen him before and don't know how he acts or pays. He too isn't sure if the girl is level headed or going to try and milk him by over charging so he prenegotiates the fees and services. She probably adds a tourist tax but he doesn't mind because he knows (as much as possible) what has getting.
