Today the Berlin papers (especially the Tagesspiegel) have several articles about current thinking. Some samples include a discussion between a sex workers organization that has developed "a hygiene concept with health authorities. For example, it includes mandatory mouth and nose protection for sex workers and customers, as well as the requirement that no more than two people may be involved in a sexual service. In order to trace chains of infection, customer data should be recorded and kept for four weeks."
Apart from the erotic aspects of both wearing masks, what could possibly go wrong with keep monger's data? In any case things will remain closed until at least 15 June, and no word on what happens then. Also a long article about continued legal harassment of Artemis that gives one a creepy feel about the whole thing.

Salon Prestige tried to open in some restricted fashion yesterday Monday but seems immediately to have run into legal problems. Website says they are again closed pending "clarifications". Even if some places push this, clearly the authorities are watching and both establishments and mongers would face hefty fines if busted. Nein Danke.

Yes, that is true. Reading about the good fortunes of our good neighbors will help us make good decisions in Berlin.

Check out the article linked at the end of this post. The article says something like a working girl and 13 of her clients infected each other In France. Then the clients went home and infected their families or flatmates. So if someone is really going to open a massage parlor in Berlin, how would they do it? The idea of opening seems unrealistic According to the article. The article even talks about monetary fines.

Posts: 105Bored, I looked at some bordello websites yesterday. And really to my shock, this popped up at Prestige: https://www.salon-prestige-berlin.de/kopie-von-preise You can easily translate this if you cannot read DE.
They somehow are planning on a restricted limited opening 25 May. No idea what it really means, and how they can actually do it, as all the regulations are still very much in force. I certainly will not partake as any way that might legally work will be way too restrictive, and any other way is way too risky both health and legal wise.
But if any locals have some insight into this, I am curious.

Piefke, thanks for the info (and the rest), however depressing. As you say, the risks to health and legal fees still quite high. This is kind of a critical moment here, where all the numbers are trending down as they should, but when people will stop taking precautions. Been a big change since restaurants and cafes are open since last weekend, even if in a limited fashion. I was curious and called around and have a feeling massage places are a little flexible, but again just not worth it. Even with regular customers, it is just still way too risky. Berlin has to walk a fine line between keeping the virus under control, keeping the culture tourist sector somewhat active, and keeping its free-wheeling spirit alive. I cannot help think that as sex is really such a big part of life here, some of the increasingly large demonstrations against restrictions and fueled by such gaga conspiracy theories would be less if people were drinking and having a lot more sex. Who knows.
