Posts: 1459I met a monger in San Diego who usually spends a 800 a night in zona. He didn't go to Tijuana on his San Diego trip because he thought border was closed and he lost his passport. Then I told him the birders open and you can go in with no passport and pay 20 dollar fee. I never seen a 65 year old man so happy, he just got paid 10 grand of unemployment backpay. He was headed to Tijuana next day with his money. He had a lot good stories all the woman he bangs in Tijuana, many just normal store workers hotel workers. I am definitely an advocate for Tijuana even if I'm critical as well.

Bars and nightclubs in Tijuana demand permission to reopen.
By: Salvador Rivera Posted: Aug 5, 2020/05:45 PM MDT / Updated: Aug 5, 2020/05:45 PM MDT.
Tijuana (Border Report) — Baja California officials claim it will be extremely difficult to allow bars and nightclubs in the city to reopen in the near future.
In recent days many bar owners have pushed to get their businesses open again.
"Until all these clubs finalize and put in place hygiene protocols it's going to be difficult," said David Gutierrez, head of Baja California's Health Risk Protection Commission. "When someone is in a frenzy, one doesn't reason or think, that's why we need to be very careful with all this stuff about opening when we're in no condition to open yet."
On Monday, more than a thousand bar and nightclub workers staged a demonstration in downtown Tijuana demanding they be allowed to return to work, many claiming they haven't drawn a salary in months. Hundreds marched on Monday asking the state of Baja California to allow the reopening of bars and nightclubs. (Courtesy: Carlos Luna / El Sol de Tijuana).
More than 80 bars and nightclubs have petitioned the state for permission to open, saying they have complied with demands to institute health protocols.
But the vetting process takes time and most establishments have yet to be inspected.
"I'm worried about places that sell alcohol, where many people gather to eat and drink where there's a lot of human contact and interaction," Gutierrez said.
Gutierrez mentioned one of his inspectors received a death threat during a recent inspection.
"It's irritating and uncomfortable knowing a death threat was issued to one of your inspectors who was told he will be dead when the sun rises," he said.
Gutierrez did not single out the business nor the person who allegedly made the death threat. All he would say is that it happened in the Zona Norte, a part of town known for its strip joints and brothels.
"We've been told an apology is forthcoming. In the heat of the moment, sometimes you tend to say things, sadly what comes out of someone's mouth is hard to take back," said Gutierrez.

Posts: 425Some Hotel Bars re-opening Saturday
Not sure what this means for ZN bars. But step forward?

Hotel bars reopen on Saturday.
The reactivation of all sectors could take place in the second half of September, predicts secretary of Sustainable Economy and Tourism, although the behavior of the people will depend.
MEXICALI, BC. - The reopening of the bars will begin this weekend in Tijuana, only in some hotels and under a trial scheme, revealed the Ministry of Sustainable Economy and Tourism (SEST), in an interview with El IMPARCIAL.
Mario Escobedo Carignan commented that the reopening will apply later in the rest of the municipalities in which their mayors agree, as long as the bars demonstrate the design and application of their health and safety protocol.
"We started opening the weekend in some hotels that are able to comply with the protocols, and the following week we will be opening the range," he said.

Contagious for sure, but not really "hypercontagious".
The damage done is mostly self induced -- it's been a "cytokine storm" political response.

#1/#2 - I'll take your word that starting from scratch isn't possible. But it is conceivable that we (as a human race) can modify an existing virus, right?
And #4, first, I'm not convinced that this was released intentionally. But, I'd just say that in this case, the death rate is less important. If we're speaking in terms of global economy, at the absolute height of global trade historically speaking, the hyper-contagious factor has been devastatingly effective. Never before in human history has something been so impactful on the global economy. I think it at least rivals and likely exceeds the world wars, at least in terms of globalism / global economy.
As I mentioned, I'm unconvinced that this was a calculated geo-political act. Clearly, the aggressor would have been China but I'm struggling to see how they've benefited. To be clear, I would not doubt their motivation for such an act. But I don't see any clear benefit to them at this point.
Now, if they wanted to make international travel more difficult for us mongers, mission accomplished. LOL. Down with Xi Jinping. Haha.

1) The science is not good enough to make a bio weapon virus from scratch in the lab. Maybe someday, but not now.
2) The virus has 96% commonality with a common corona virus in bats. The method of zoonotic transmission to intermediate animals like pangolins or whatever is well know. The exact mechanism for the creation of this virus is not known yet, but for sure it is "natural".
3) Something called the "furin cleavage site" makes the virus gets weaker when it's cultured.
4) It's not a very bad virus. It isn't deadly enough! It only kills old people in nursing homes, fat diabetics, etc. If you were going to engineer something, you'd make it attack the young and strong. If you were going to engineer a virus, why not start with something much, much more deadly like SARS, MERS or Ebola and make it worse? SARS CoV-2 is simply not bad enough.

It has long been Cold War socialistic doctrine since 50's I guess to have the "perfect" biological weapon humanized (I. E. On human carriers) to infect and kill or even better incapacitate the enemy. How better than to grind our economies to a halt then swoop in with vaccine they already have and completely control us? Now their dream has come true. Like Ike said in the 50's should have nuclear bombed the fuck out of China and North Korea then none this shit ever happen. Scald them motherfuckers, scald them!
Give me the crypto keys I will do it!

Indeed, there was evidence that actual election tallies were changed in Wisconsin; however, Scott Walker quashed the investigation.

Speaking of Russia. If you have not seen HBO's Chernobyl movie series it's great. I had no idea the sacrifices the people of Russia did to make clean up the issue after it happened. And it could have been much much worse.
Goyo.
