I'm not that familiar with child support laws, I imagine that there may be some level of cooperation between Mexican and American state governments as far as collecting child support, but for the most part paying child support to a Mexican mother is easy to circumvent by a foreigner. That being said, I have no doubt that the chica knows this, and that she chooses a potential father based on his income and character, judging for herself how likely the monger is to follow through and accept financial responsibility.
