Back in February I did not have the problems that you had. I think I was on the 3rd floor. Remember if a chick does not have ID then she is not getting in to the San Peter. Dudes either for that matter. Another board member came to pick me up and they would not let him up because he did not have ID.

OK I'll fill in some color. I stayed there for a month around January. There are several advantages and some disadvantages as well. You'll have to weigh which matter most to you and act in your own best interest.

Advantages:

Definitely girl friendly. They need to have their cedula when they show up but the staff understands the attraction of the place and are very open minded.

Location is very good. The area is ripe with restaurants but unfortunately at the moment most are closed. But your deliveries will be very prompt if you order from places nearby.

There are a lot of banks in the immediate area so you won't have to go far to make ATM withdrawals.

These are more like apartments and have a kitchen that includes a microwave, a stove, a refrigerator, silverware etc. So you can cook your own food or reheat left-overs.

Rooms are fairly spacious so you won't feel like you are living in a shoebox (which is true of a lot of hotels). Rooms have a washing machine but not a dryer. You'll take your damp clothes from the washer.

And put them on a rack and turn on a large floor fan that will dry them off in an hour or so.

WiFi is consistently good.

Disadvantages:

The showers don't always work to perfection which means you may not have hot water on demand. You'll want to verify this (assuming it is important to you) before committing to a certain room.

There is no daily maid service. You'll have to wash your own sheets and pillow-cases and dry them and remake your bed along with sweeping the floors and washing your bathroom towels.

The price is on the expensive side. You may be able to negotiate a deal during the quarantine but that same deal is available at a lot of upper end hotels in Laureles which have better amenities.

There is a bar on the registration floor which is open several (but not all) days of the week, but is closed during the quarantine. The staff and owner are friendly and other like-minded extranjeros are usually there.

Which can make for fun company and conversation.

The place is half a block off of La 70 (a major street) but is a little difficult to fine for some taxis. Not a major issue but it can be annoying at times and if your girl messages you about the location, you may.

Need to be prepared to address it.

At the end of June I made a couple of posts on this forum, particularly enquiring about how viable Colombia was for people of my age group (late 60's) Several of you made useful replies and I had fully intended to thank you all personally with a reply and ask a couple of other questions.

About this time I looked on the worldometers site regarding Coronavirus and saw that Colombia, was then ranked 23rd for infections, but was reporting 6 k cases a day. I thought I should wait before wasting anyone's time with more questions. Since then Colombia has moved up to 8th place and 10 k infections a day are not uncommon. Under the circumstances, I have abandoned any plans to go there for the foreseeable future.

I am just writing to say, thanks to those who made an input, and my apologies in taking so long to reply.

In Colombia, most of the demand for pussy and everything else is from Colombians. That said, I can understand how it might not seem that way if Poblado is the center and Laureles is the great beyond.

Buenos Aires is a good choice for Pollo Negro, even if it is not close to Campo Valdes. It's within a 15 to 20 minute walk to the forbidden zone (for him) of Plaza Botero. It has a growing number of low key high quality restaurants and bars but it is also a real barrio where the prices of basic necessities are not skewed toward gringo trade.

Only issue with this is I am not so sure most of the pussy demand is from gringos in the first place. Medellin is a city of 2. 5 M natives, and at the most there are probably 1000 tourist arrivals daily. Even if every male was a monger that's like 500 mongers.

Of 1. 25 M paisa men, I am sure even if just 10% partake to some extent that is like 125 k punters. So the numbers are orders of magnitude variant. Its the local demand or lack of it that drives the market. Yeah sure the gusto chicas might be having to get off their pedestals, but the average chica is struggling more because the colombianos don't have the disposable income right now. Of course whether gustos or otherwise if the clientele the prepago serves is skewed to gringos then she is impacted more, but the market is a lot more than gringos.

I have no idea of how you would misconstrue that I was close Campo Valdes, I am much closer to poblado as I looked at Campo Valdes and the address to where my new apartment is located. I have no idea how a monger would put themselves on a certain pedestal about WGs when we are located in the same city and have access to the same women.

The only difference is the verbiage used on line to make others think that there is a real difference, there is no difference. Girls in Centro have no problem telling me and anyone willing to listen that they frequently go to Poblado at night to earn $300,000 pesos per date. You all have to stop making Medellin out to be a different place based on where you live? It is not, it is still Medellin. I love Centro, my dentist is in Poblado, so you think he won't take my money because I don't live in Poblado, you guys must stop with fancy foolishness that you type on line.

If you choose to pay $300,000 pesos per date, I salute you. If you choose to pay $1500 usd monthly for rent, I salute you. I thank the Almighty that I do not have to pay that and I do have to stay in Poblado or Laureles to feel safe. The more you guys isolate yourself to certain areas tell anyone with a brain about your concept of others. If you are afraid for your safety say that, if you are trying to impress girls from Centro who put on fancy outfits to travel to Poblado say that. Many of you all are paying extra do to being lazy and not wanting to travel and actually do leg work, you should also say that.

Too many of you BMs are judgmental about other BMs and your replies show. I know what guys are paying for rent, I have been all over the city looking for apartments before I found the Apartment I have. You'll take a post personal and call another BM a Cartel Member and salute another BM, when you know that BM is paying through the nose. You should stop being so obvious about your hate toward certain BMs simply because you are not here and have no idea what each BMs financial situation is and then trying to shade behind fancy words, like daft. I am neither absurd nor foolish, regardless of what you may take from my posts.

The girls are plentiful and snatch is at an all-time low due the country being closed and mongers being so few. In the future if you don't like what another BM posts, keep it moving and don't take it personal. It is so much snatch floating around Medellin that other BMs are trying to help girls who cannot get enough dates to make ends meet. Yep, the only parties for you will be in your apartment and in your pants. I would be happy to go to Colombia and hole up in my apartments. But that's not so appealing for guys who have never been or who go infrequently. As going out is a big deal at first.
