I saw that article or a similar one. President said Americans also cannot stay at any government owned / run hotels. He doesn't want US dollars going to support the commie government.

Those two new Hotels are ugly as shit. They do not fit in with Havana architecture at all. I was there back in March and was like WTF man?

All I know is that when it is safe to travel again, like really safe, if the world economy is not in total tatters, it's finna be crazy. There's going to be so much pent up travel desire. Can you imagine meeting a fellow traveler in that outdoor area in hotel nacional with a rum in one hand and siglo 6 in the other? Absence makes the the* grow harder.
