Any feedback on American Airline or Delta to Brazil will be appreciated.

Only have used Copa Airline when flying but found out my credit card offered free flight to Brazil using these two airlines.

Looking for feedback on items such as cancelling flight, being on-time and entertainment system (available TV) on the plane.

I flew American Airline Miami to GRU arriving 5 am Thursday. Fairly new 777 with meal and free beer and wine service. The flight was about 8 hours, the plane was 25% full. I had 3 seats and folded armrests to lay prone and sleep. At GRU I filled out no forms, only showed my passport and medical insurance docs. Stamped and "Welcome to Brazil" I don't remember an easier entry ever. My checked bag was on the carousel waiting. I walked thru the "Nothing to declare" portal and that was it. Airport cash currency exchange was a very low, I believe 4. 6 to the dollar. I went out the front door and immediately to the right at the center island is the Uber waiting area. I ordered an uber to my airbnb and in two minutes, was on my way.

I'm not sure what post of mine you are referencing. I have not said the beaches aren't full. I told our young first-timer he could check out the beach cams on a weekend to see what's going on.

Anyone have real time intel on Copacabana and Ipanema beach? Heading down end of October, and wanting to relax on the beach and their beach bars with a few drinks. News is inconsistent. Saying beach closed until vaccine. But recent holiday pics showed beaches packed.

The beaches have been packed during the holiday/last weekend (Brazil National day on past Monday). The brazilians are supermen when they put on a homemade face mask. Listen to Bolsonary, Brazil has won over Covid-19 and is one of the countries that have suffered least. Jair is meio louco, but he has a point. Not making a major lockdown will help Brasil. Wait and see. I think Brasil's 2:nd wave won't be significant. Herd immunity. Anyway, feel free to call me a covard, but I'm thinking of staying far away from Brasil the coming winter. The first time in 30 years.

Check out the beach cams tomorrow Saturday. There are a few people on the beach now, but it's later in the afternoon and it might be a bit cloudy. Rio is currently New York time plus one.

Argentinian Minister of Transportation indicated that international flights between Brazil and Argentina may resume after October 1, 2020. This is only a hint at this time, and the plans are to resume flights to Paraguay and Uruguay first (flights will be available between those two countries from September 15,2020) followed by Chile and Brazil.

Yes, I have to go through two screens of CAPTCHA to get into the site. This started about a month or two ago for me. Changing browsers doesn't seem to matter. This has something to do with our virus protection and / or a USA ISP firewall. I'm going to try to figure out how to avoid this. It is, however, better than a few years ago where I had to use a proxy server to access the website.

Both of those airlines are probably very similar in service maybe with Delta being a touch better. Maybe it depends on where you're flying from. With a long flight like to Brazil either airline is going to suck sitting in coach. I primarily fly on American Airlines and have significant amount of miles with them that I have accumulated and use them for upgrades or purchasing business class tickets outright. In business class the food is mediocre, the booze is decent and the seats lie flat for ultimate comfort on a long haul flight. You probably wouldn't be able to tell much difference between either one.

Want to go to Sao Paulo, but Scandallo and Bomboa is not open, so not sure of choices. Also, with termas closed in Rio, what is choices are there? The escort sites either has face blurred out or none piqued my interest.

Yeah escort sites mostly the escort sites have blurred faces of there models and most of them are just scams they cheat you but some site they send the original as in the picture.

Gringo A is a world-class jerk. When he enters a centro building he thinks he is sneaking past the doormen unnoticed and never acknowledges them. He knocks on doors he read about in a two-year old post. Pretty soon someone calls down the doormen about him. The doormen call a few of the private apartments to warn them about him suggesting they not open their doors. They may even chase him off or let their buddies in other buildings know about him. He thinks Brazil sucks.

Gringo be is a nice guy. When he enters a centro building he stops and chats with the doormen. He jokingly asks if there are any new hot women working. They tell him about a couple apartments that are not on any list. He goes through the halls quietly so as not to disturb anyone; he might even take an elevator to a few floors above an apartment and walk down since he knows a lot of elevator traffic to the same floor draws unwanted attention. He is smart enough to know that while Prostitution is legal in Brazil, running a private apartment brothel is not. He stops by and chats with the doormen before he leaves the building. Brazil is awesome.

Can you explain what do you mean by independently owned pharmacies? When I was in Brazil last year, I only noticed chain drugstores such as DrogaRaia, Drogasil, etc.

Look for compounding pharmacies.
