So for 3 cities that is a whopping total of 30 minutes. I sit on the toilet that long every morning.

Why would you have to go through immigration or customs on a domestic flight?
I agree, pre covid I did 3 cities (Cartagena, Bogota, Medellin) in 10 days. Flew into Cartagena and flew out Medellin using spirit, avianca and latam airlines. You just have to plan ahead.

Medellin has streets that are lined with hundreds of street girls, looking pretty hot. The Facebook girls also are interesting. Girls selection looks good.

I was planning to spend a week in Colombia, taking short flights between Panama City, Bogota, Medellin, Cartagena. I prefer to stay in a typical neighborhood and immerse in local lifestyles to living in all-inclusive joints.

Would really appreciate a 7-10 days suggested itinerary in Colombia to get the biggest bang for girls, food, funs, sights, recreation, cultural events, lifestyles immersion etc..
Not a fan of trying to cram in a few cities in a week, in fact I would recommend staying in one city if your only staying for a week. Your going to lose all your time checking in and out of hotels, and spending damn near half you time in airports. Flying to 3 cities in a week is 6 times thru customs and immigration, a royal pain in the ass especially now with all the Covid protocols. Also, if you have been to theses cities before you can hit the ground running, you'll know all the spots and have a few favorites you can hook up with within a few hours of arrival. If it's your first time in a city it takes a little time to acclimated by the time you remember your way back to the hotel you'll be on your way back to the airport. Having tried that years ago, I strongly suggest you don't. If you hit it off with a Bogoatana or a Paisa, a trip to the beach with her for a few days might be nice but you should rethink your agenda. Have fun.

Maybe we can compare notes. I have too many SA girls and I know there will be thousands more street "sweeties" in Bogota. Alas during December 15 - January 5 maybe not (since my concern is a lot will head home and be unavailable for Christmas week. I might take one on a trip. Or just sightseeing by myself near Barranquilla beaches for a few days. First week will be Bogota. Sex gets old after a week there. LOL.

Ideas about the timing around the holidays? Will I get tired of having too many options?

Zaaika Indian food is a nice medium priced Indian restaurant 5 minutes walk from Lleras. There are unlimited vegetarian restaurants an options which are great! Unlimited small cafes for coffee and pastries. Many places have a fixed menu of the day lunch special that will fill you up with incredibly high quality for for like 4 bucks for lunch.

I walk around Medellin and constantly find surprising and tasty and healthy food options in all price ranges. Heck, right in centro -very close to the 52 and 52 monger central corner is a vegan restaurant--on the 3rd floor of a building that does these veggie buffets for like 5 bucks that are absolutely fantastic, filling, high quality--and worth a stop when in downtown centro. Eat great high quality healthy food for cheap while overlooking th eplaza and the shenanigans happening down below.

In 14 trips to Medellin, I keep finding new and quality restaurants in Medellin. Any Exito or Carrulla will be filled with fresh produce to try. Heck, even fast food like Falafel Time makes a decent, quick, filling, tasty and healthy enough 4 dollar lunch.

I can't fathom how anyone could say a huge city like Medellin, surrounded by infinite amounts of farmland with veggies and fruit trees everywhere and full of a wide variety of ethnic flavors could say the food in Colombia is trash. That's just insane. Ymmv.
I agree with you, but I understand why some people don't care for Colombian food. Colombian food tastes bland Compared to the highly salted and sweetened stuff offered by most US franchises. I just saw a story that Subway sandwiches aren't legally food in Ireland now, because the bread contains 4 times the maximum allowed amount of sugar to be considered a staple.

With the current exchange rate, menu del DIA lunches in most spots are less than $3, includes soup, salad, 2 or 3 side items, your choice of meat and fruit juice. I've found a few places where the food genuinely sucked, but at least 9 out of 10 I've been happy with.

Just a heads up, the food in Colombia is trash. If you eat at high end restaurants, you'll likely enjoy the food, but other than that I only eat at American brand restaurants when I'm down there.

Before Covid yes, girls were plentiful. Now it is just going to take a bit more effort since things have changed drastically.

Example: Split between Cartagena and Medellin. There is a lot in-depth information with downloadable pdf guides here at: https://www.colombia.com/turismo/sitios-turisticos/ Stay in El Laguito or Bocagrande area in Cartagena and in Poblado or Laureles area in Medellin. You should have a good plan / itinerary for such a short trip. As for food everyone has different tastes, and I find Mediterranean restaurants to be the best anywhere in Colombia. I can't comment too much for the bang for your buck, maybe your expectations are too high as there are no 'streets with hundreds pretty hot girls' Good luck!

The government was supposed to give every family 100,000 cop but many applied but few received it. Even if they did how far can 100,000 pesos go. They say when you give freely you will receive 10 fold. I'm sure your next trip to Colombia will be one of your best.
I agree. When my friend tells me that she is feeding her 8 year old twins fried arapes for dinner, I sure as hell can take her to the store and buy her meat, rice, beans, oil, greens, etc. The current situation is more than grim, people are starving in their homes, or on the streets if they have been tossed out.

Medical / Health Insurance in Colombia

Can I buy medical insurance while I am in Colombia or do I have to buy an American plan. I will be in Bogota for about 2-3 months.

Its either negative pcr test within 72 hours of departure + registering to a track / trace program and be required to have full medical travel ad evacuation insurance. Or quarantine 14 days upon arrival--with all the insurance and monitoring etc.
    JI,

I am just telling you what I read. If you test +, it is my understanding that you go into quarantine.

As for everyone else on the plane, "Two compelling case reports also suggest that masks can prevent transmission in high-risk scenarios, said Chin-Hong and Rutherford. In one case, a man flew from China to Toronto and subsequently tested positive for COVID-19. He had a dry cough and wore a mask on the flight, and all 25 people closest to him on the flight tested negative for COVID-19. In another case, in late May, two hair stylists in Missouri had close contact with 140 clients while sick with COVID-19. Everyone wore a mask and none of the clients tested positive."

I think that you are assuming that one + passenger could contaminate a whole plane. That really has not happened. There have been a few cases of transmission on airplanes but it is very, very rare when people wear masks. Odds of catching the virus on a plane are between one in 5000 and 10,000, and I think that it is even lower than that.

And the hysteria has not been rolled back yet. I have a lot more experience with this virus than I have let on. If there is someone behind you in line at a supermarket, and you found out he tested + for Covid, and he was coughing near you, and you were both wearing masks, you would be terrified you would catch Covid right? That does not happen. I have been in the room with 10 Covid + people who have coughed in front of me, and we were both wearing masks and I have not gotten it, and neither have the people around me.

On the other hand, I had a son who had Covid bring his mother in, and he was not wearing a mask around her, and he was coughing all the time. So she had exposure to him quite frequently, and she did not feel well. I expected her to test + and she did.

Even people who get it are usually not that symptomatic, but they are sick in some way: fever, loss of taste or smell, body aches ETC. Asymptomatic transmission really does not happen. That is another myth that has not been corrected. Everyone I have seen who has Covid pretty much knows they are sick and who they have gotten the virus from.

I do not mean to blow it off though. You do see younger people who come in very short of breath, and in desperate need of oxygen. And one of the reasons this virus probably was made in a lab is you see blood clots in the lungs, legs, kidneys ETC that are seen with no other virus. The clotting and immune system response do lead to permanent damage. On top of that, the virus spreads by the air. Most cold viruses spread via fomites, objects that you leave the virus on like towels, clothes, surfaces. That is why masks were blown off at first and there was the emphasis on hand washing.

The only health care personnel I have seen who have gotten Covid have been doing 8 to 12 hours shifts with Covid only patients and one idiot doctor who would not wear his mask around Covid + patients who were coughing. It is not as contagious as you have been led to believe, and Colombian health authorities have seen enough of this virus now to realize what is really going on. When Colombia first shut down, they had very few cases. I am sure the Colombian health authorities were terrified at first like we all were, but they have a better grasp on what is really going on with it.
