This guy's story of a Thai Isaan hooker is a common one but well done with animation's and Nat's voice. I wonder how many farangs were hard hit be why Nats and Leks and how many Nats and Leks invested their money wisely.

Moving to Thailand and then getting a teaching job (in that order) not possible at the moment. The only non-Thais permitted entry are spouses or parents of Thais, Work Permit or Permanant Residence Certificate Holders, etc.
If you are able to secure a teaching job before arrival and the employer can arrange the necessary documentation (visa and work permit) then you can contact the Embassy / Consulate where you are now to make arrangements to come here. Firstly you will join the queue for the "Foreigner Quota" on a repatriation flight (the only inbound flights available). Once your turn comes you will need to make a reservation and pay for an Alternative State Quarantine hotel for a 14 day stay on arrival in effective isolation at the expense of either you or your employer at a cost of THB 35,000to over 200,000 for the stay. They will give instructions on paying for the flight (which must be done at this stage). You will also need a cetificate of insurance specifically stating $100,000 of medical cover for Covid-19. Armed with these it's back to the Embassy to obtain a Certificate of Entry.
So now you just need to go to the airport, right? Err, wrong. At check-in you will need to produce a negative Covid certificate from an rt-PCR test and a "Fit to Fly" Certificate signed by a physician, both timed less than 72 hours before departure. Test positive and you won't be getting on the flight. Test results not back in time likewise. I have heard an anecdotal report of a degree of flexibility on the time (for instance the test is some hours outside the 72 hour window but the doctor certifying Fit to Fly has written "Covid negative confirmed by rt-PCR" on it within the 72 hour time. I have also read of people being refused the flight because one or other document was just outside the time limit.
Fall at any of these hurdles and your flight payment will be lost. Some ASQ hotels allow re-booking at a future date, others allow limited flexibility, most have a no-change and no refund policy.
Good luck.

Apart from that, I agree with what EihTooms said. The average Thai loves Thailand and is happy to stay in Thailand. The opposite applies to Filipinos, who will view a foreigner, virtually any foreigner, as a chance to get out of their hell-hole country.

I think that is the best way to get the most candid, honest and complete answers to those kind of questions, least influenced, good or bad, by the presence of a foreigner right in front of them.
Naturally, voice-over or subtitled translations would be required. The girls are going to answer more readily and fully in their own language anyway.
Doing it the way they did it in that first video is pretty much worthless, imo. They admitted they didn't get much value out of it as well.
On the issue of whether or not Thai girls would answer differently than Philippine girls, I think there was one instance that rang familiar to me (it's been a couple of decades since I have been to the Philippines). That was when the Philippine girl indicated one thing she liked about dating a foreigner was that she really wanted to move from the Philippines and live in whatever foreign country.
I don't think many Thai girls feel that way. I remember Philippine girls always talking about their dream being to someday live in America. But not Thai girls.
Generally speaking, Thai people really like Thailand, like being Thai, like Thai culture, like eating Thai food every day with other Thai people and don't give much of a shit about other countries. They have little or no interest in living somewhere else.
Thai people going somewhere else for a vacation? Great. Count them in. But to move out of Thailand and live somewhere else, especially in the West? Not so much.

Posts: 3474Ran across two youtube video's that are based in the Philippines but might be an interesting view for guys surfing the Thailand forum. In both countries there are girls who specifically look for foreign guys for serious relationships. I've never seen anything like these where a local girl asks another local girl what she thinks about foreigners and if she'd want a foreign boyfriend. Some of these girls are pretty cute. Have to wonder what a local Thai girl might say to these questions, a province girl not one who's living and working in a city like Pattaya. We've all seen payforplay girls over several nights and many have had the conversation turn to it becoming a serious relationship, how she'd take care of us when we get old. Many look at it as 'dating' even though money is being collected for said services. Money always gets involved any way you look at it.

Again the video's are out of the Philippines, maybe a different mindset for Thai girls vs Filipino girls. I know Thai's treat mixed children differently, look down on them so maybe that plays into what a Thai might say about a foreign boyfriend.

I enjoyed them. I would often see "Beautiful Asian Girls" pop up and featured in their videos that I had fucked on one of my recent vacations to the Philippines or Thailand in those days.
I happened to run into both of those guys in Angeles City around that time, sitting in Margarita Station cafe on Field Ave. Just enough to tell them I was a fan of their books and videos, chat a bit about the scene at the moment and so on.
As I recall, either one or both of them got banned from Thailand for what they showed in those videos. Or almost were. I could be wrong about that. But I assumed the trouble was one reason they stopped producing any videos because they both were trying to live a life of leisure in Asia.
Oh, the other thing was the funny, chubby one with a mustache (don't remember the name he used) pitched a plan to live for the rest of your life in the Philippines or Thailand in one of those videos. And the centerpiece of the plan was to get together $100,000 USD and put it in an interest bearing account or stock market fund of your choice, whatever. Then all you had to do was pull out about $10,000 USD per year, which in those days was enough to squeak by on rent, food and some GF and paid pussy in those countries. In fact, maybe just $90,000 USD would be enough.
Of course, in his scenario the bank interest, stock market or whatever would always grow to replace that $10,000 USD every year, your initial $100,000 or maybe $90,000 USD would never really diminish much, costs in those countries would never really rise much, you'd never need to fly out of those countries or pay for medical issues in your old age and viola, you're set for life! Easy Peasy! LOL.
That was in the mid 1990's, before the Bear Market Crash of 2001, the bigger Bear Market Crash of 2008, etc.
Actually, those guys did cross my mind in the 2000's because I honestly wondered how their initial $100,000/$90,000 USD Life Retirement Income base was working for them by then. And by now since the USA stock market has had 2 Bear Market Crashes and essentially gone nowhere over the past 2 1/2 years.

This a shame that not many lasted to tell their stories because I'm sure they would have had many to tell. 😁.

Alright, so I came across some videos on PornHub of these guys who made these videos about mongering in BKK and Pattaya in the 90's and they were selling tours and teaching people how to retire there. They were cheesy as hell, but they were probably about as good as it got for a mid-90's indie project in Thailand. Interesting to look back on what things were like 20-30 years ago before everyone had a camera. Anyhow, I'm curious, what happened to these guys? I did some Google searching and I can hardly find any information. It looks like there was a 60 Minutes interview with one of the guys in 1996 about his book, but other than that, it looks like there were some crusaders out for their heads and then nothing. Does anybody know anything about these dudes?
Peter V. Stanton aka Mac Horn aka the Asia Answerman (His Santa Monica company was PVS Publishing. The address is a UPS Store now.) Wrote the book: A Gentleman's Guide to the Exotic Women of Southeast Asia and maybe another one called Thailand 2000.
Eric Dexter is the guy in the videos explaining things.
Not sure if they had anything to do with ExoticThaiVacations (it's watermarked on their PH videos) or TheManTour, but it was the same business idea.
I'm just curious what happened. They seem to have just vanished. Did they just abandon the business? Did the crusaders get them? Were they into nefarious things and get arrested? Something else interesting?
