Just checked in to the Burjuman Arjaan Rotana. The gentleman at the desk assured me I was allowed to bring visitors to my room, as long as they showed "original" ID at the desk. I didn't ask if there were any limits, I figured if I don't ask I can pretty much bring whoever and however many I want at a time.
I was very tired today and wanted to take a nap to rejuvenate before going out on the prowl tonight, but I was put off for almost two hours while they "fumigated" my room. I hope they meant sterilized, the other would seem to mean there was an infestation.
The room is spacious and comfortable.
After the Regent Palace dump last night, this is nice. Hard to believe they are both rated 4 stars. Somebody that rated the RP 4 stars must either have very low standards or got some payola to do so. To me it was barely 2 stars. And I am not very picky when it comes to hotels.

Fellow mongers:
Regent Palace is solid RED. Desk lady said no visitors in the room, not allowed. Having said that, the lack of cameras and keycards in the elevator would be hard to stop someone from coming to your room.
BUT, it is a dump. Dated, dirty and dowdy. Very much in need of a deep cleaning to get rid of the dirt on the carpets along the walls and mold in the shower tile grout. Tried to go to sleep about 11 but the thumping of the band was so loud I finally got dressed and went down for a beer. Full of 20 something Indians. They were having a great time but it really wasn't my scene. Man / woman ratio about 15 to 1 and all looked attached to someone.
Dining options: 4 Indian restaurants, one Indian bar, the only breakfast option was room service. I got a so-so "American" breakfast.
I booked for three nights and checked out after the first one. None of my money was refunded. Moved to the Burjuman Arjaan Rotana and booked for the next 5 nights.

Posts: 65Hotels that allow 2 girls?
Just got an intriguing message from a regular, who said her friend is back in town and offered both girls for 1200 for the night. Now I'm aware of quite a few hotels that are green, but unsure if they allow 2 guests the same night? Any info or tips would be appreciated on this subject.
Cheers,
Prodi.

RTFF as there are lists everywhere in the thread, call the hotel and ask, research aka RTFF.

I will be visiting in mid October. I am asking about famous 5 star hotels that are green (Having a pickup bar is a plus if it is available).
I used to stay at Fairmont (Bar downstairs gives you a late night Plan B).
No I am choosing between Address marina, Grosvenor house, or any other 5 star hotel in Business Bay area.
Thanks.

Posts: 1Visiting in late October. Would love hotel suggestions
Hi all,
I'm planning to visit Dubai the third week of October, and I'm looking for guest friendly hotels to stay at. I'm not particularly picky about the quality of the hotel itself, but I love the idea of being able to go up to the bar / restaurant in the hotel and pick up a really hot girl on a whim, so ideally a hotel that has a bunch of WGs somewhere in the hotel itself or within very close walking distance would be ideal. Also, I'm much more interested in quality than price, so happy to pay premium for a beautiful girl, and not interested in hotels with unattractive WGs. Anyone have any suggestions of where I can stay? Considering staying at 2-3 hotels during my stay just to switch things up a bit, so open to multiple suggestions.
