Thank you. I'm thinking the bus (an upgraded version) paying more for good seats is really the best way to go also. I have taken many long distance buses in Costa Rica to the far corners and swear by it. Saves so much wear and tear versus driving and then refreshed for the chicas!

Can I board the bus on the U.S. side? And disembark also on U.S. side? Some posts on this thread 6 months or so back said the N.L. bus terminal was lawless with cartel shaking down passengers waiting to board a bus.

The buses and bus stations on both sides of border are VERY safe. No different than ticketing and boarding flights at ABIA or IAH or DFW.

Never felt jeopardized one time.

HOWEVER currently since August, bridge crossing bus service is SUSPENDED due to Covid19. Literally get off at Laredo Greyhound station, walk across, take taxi to Nuevo Laredo bus station to continue onward to Monterrey. Some day non-stop including bridge crossing will return, but until then this is the tentative setup.

Not sure if you're well seasoned or new, but you'll need to stop at the Nuevo Laredo CITEV with proof of ownership (photocopy of title or current registration on vehicle) and $460 USD charged to a credit card ($400 is a refundable deposit when you return from MTY).

I'm also based in Austin BTW. Maybe we're two different people, but I park long term in Laredo / Nuevo Laredo, and take the bus rest of way. Once in MTY, Uber is crazy dirt cheap.

I'm off to Ecuador via MTY Airport in 2 weeks, have 2 extra days trying to decide if I want to hobby CDMX or MTY. So ready for Club Matehuala to re-open damnit! Saw a few promising prospects on at Micheldepa too.

I'm planning a trip to MTY soon proly by car from Austin. Is 4 hours from Austin to Laredo then another say 2. 5 hours-ish onto to MTY. This will be a long weekend for me as two days of travel there and back plus 3 days on station to enjoy all the sexy girls in the spas. I luv them!

Getting conflicting reports about Travel to Mexico allowed via air only. Is this accurate? Are border aduanas in Nuevo Laredo granting permits for driving / taking bus to Monterrey? Or is it same old same ol?

I have been driving across every 10 days. Tell them you have a dentist appointment going into Mexico. Coming back you can tell them what ever you want, no issues.

Yes, I also read there posts. It just does not make sense to me. I do not comment much on that page, but I constantly ask myself why these guys like it there so much. It was just not for me. I love Mexico, the people and food it is just a great place. Also if you ads careful you money goes a long way.

Yeah I felt Colombia. There were some beautiful women there but there are beautiful women in every country I've been too. Medellin city it self was okay. It was not like I was in Thailand but if you got to make women take showers and make sure they wash their breast of any substances or watch you food and drink because your date is trying to drug you what's the point. So many places you can have a good time.

I will also say it's the only place I have been where I was concerned about being drugged by a woman. I know guys who have been drugged by women putting in their drink. I also read about a guy who woke up to all his money and belongings gone and the last thing he remembers is sucking on a woman's breast.
