AirBnB owner told me there is a meeting today that is being decided on if when Havana airport opens on November 4th if it will be for all including Americans, and if private Casas can operate starting November 4th (legally). We should know in a few hours.

Casas particulares can be "open", airlines can accept bookings, but until the country is open why would anyone book anything if you're outside the country.

My understanding, and correct me if you have better information, is that Canadians can go to a few of the resort areas but only to these areas, and can't go off the "island" (or key basically). Workers come in for 2 or 3 week shifts. No trips to Havana, no trips anywhere. US citizens can't go to these resorts as they are all owned or partially owned by the Cuban gov't so not allowed for Americans.

But so far no incoming tourists allowed anywhere else. That's my understanding. So Havana?

Yes I do always try to negotiate the girls down in price. Sometimes they quickly agree and sometimes they won't budge. I booked an Airbnb for November 13th, but the owner let me know that they have not been told that they can operate yet. Wonder if it will only be hotels for a month or so.

They are open for sure. I have been to a few for the past few months for a short time use. I am sure if you look hard enough, you will find some that are willing to take your booking.

It's definitely on the island, someone came up to are taxi while getting gas, 10 pk of generic Blue pills 9 $. I think he wanted 15 $turns out they were really good, wish I got a few packs! Hope this helps a bit!
