I willing to go to Brazil bcuz I work in healthcare with a group of patients according to what they say should be the most vulnerable people walking and I know only a handful that been sick and they have recovered, couple co workers and they have recovered. No ICU, no ventilators. You do what make you feel comfortable that's what having free will is. Imma be comfortable as fuck in 25 days on the way to So Paulo thinking about all that Brazilian buceta waiting on the ground.
    As I said, I'm superdumb.

I've only had two friends that got covid. One worked as a doctor, he almost died. The other one is an average-Joe, he's fighting right now to survive.

I've had more brazilian bucetas han you can ever count, but still I'm worrried. Going into a "packed" boate seems like as a stupid idea.

Even though not needing covid-19 health insurance to enter, it's propably wise to have such an insurance. If you would catch covid-19 and be unlucky and get severe symptoms and needing hospital care, then you'll have two options. Public hospitals which can be really bad (not always), or private hospitals which are very expensive.

FYI. Below is the update released today:

    Health Alert: October 8, 2020.

    Location: Brazil.

Event: Proof of Health Insurance No Longer Required for Air Travel to Brazil.

Effective October 2, the Government of Brazil no longer requires foreign travelers to present proof of health insurance valid in Brazil in order to enter. While Brazil continues to permit the entry of foreign visitors by air for a short stay of up to 90 days, restrictions remain for the entry of foreign visitors by land (unless for transit) and sea through at least October 23.

Even though Brazil no longer requires proof of health insurance, the USA Department of State continues to recommend that all travelers purchase insurance before departing the United States. The USA Government does not provide health insurance for USA Citizens overseas and does not pay medical bills. Commercial flights between the United States and Brazil operate on a regular basis. Although Brazil has opened its borders to visitors traveling by air, USA Citizens considering international travel should be aware that Brazil remains at a Level 4 Travel Advisory (Do Not Travel) and continues to experience high daily case numbers of COVID-19.

USA Citizens in a land border country who need to cross the border to take a flight back to the United States should see our most recent message on the land border restrictions and required steps to transit Brazil.

I also flew into GRU from Miami on Friday night. American airlines would not let Americans board without the travel insurance. When I arrived in GRU I was asked. I did purchase it before I left and showed the policy on my phone.

Present curfews and openings / closures

Are there any curfews and closures of most of the regular nightlife in Bahia, Salvador?

    That ended.

Now it's keep a eye on yourself for 14 days.

If you feel symptoms, quarantine and get tested.

I did what they said I'm going to SP and Rio the first time I'll be visiting Brazil. I'm more of an urban guy so I booked more time in SP and with flights so cheap you have to take advantage so I booked 6 days in SP and 5 in Rio. Someone is listening guys, all your great advice is not falling on deaf ears LOL.
If you haven't bought your flight between SP and Rio yet, I recommend trying to book between CGH (in SP) and SDU (in Rio). These are the local airports and you will land and take off very close to where you're likely staying. (As opposed to GRU and GIG, the international airports of the two cities which are quite far out).
