I had two PCR tests and neither of them had the word "Negative" anywhere on the report. Both stated "Not detected".

Not surprised at all. Aren't we all familiar with the STD test that comes back "Non-Reactive".

What new 2 visitor policy are you referring to, is this an individual hotel, all hotels, city wide or country wide? Care to elaborate?

People are flying into Colombia with hundreds of different letters saying they are not negative. They cannot verify any of them.

No you don't have to, but they require you to use it when you enter in a shop or even in a restaurant, which is so stupid, because as soon as you seat you can remove it. But people are stupid, there is nothing you can do about that.

You can always call people out for being stupid. However, most people seem to get upset when I do it.

It's a rule. If the restaurant or store is enforcing the rule, they are merely doing what they feel is best. They understand there may be consequences for not enforcing the rule. If you don't want to wear a mask, don't go to a country or city that requires you to wear a mask.

If the restaurant wants you to wear a mask, don't be stupid. Wear a mask. Don't argue with them. Don't be another obnoxious gringo. Just wear the mask. It's not going to hurt you. It's a minor inconvenience at most.

This is an excellent example of terrible advice.

Get tested. You might have to jump through hoops, there may be difficulties or added expenses to get the results within the 96 hour window. If you have no other option, you probably should stay home.

Colombia isn't stupid. If everyone just skips the test and uses a fake template, they will eventually catch on. When that happens it's probably going to become a lot more difficult for everyone else.

That's without considering that you might be bringing in the virus, sharing it with a bunch of working girls, who are going to share it with a bunch of other mongers.

I'm currently in an airbnb near parque lleras and the doormen here are kind of a pain. Keep in mind I don't speak fluent spanish, but from what I gathered they are hesitant to allow visitors because they are afraid of a visitor bringing covid into the building. Again, I'm not 100% sure that's what the guard was saying to me but I'm pretty sure it was along the lines of that. Or that the girl I walked in was pretty obviously a working girl based on how she dressed and just her general demeanor but I never had a problem with it before in the Philippines. Or maybe the guard frowned upon letting working girls in and that was his polite way of saying to cut it out. And to be fair the airbnb listing did say "no sexual tourism" I guess.

Anyways just my experience so far, I guess I'll try using short time hotels from now on. Or try to build more of a rapport with the girl beforehand and say she's a friend or date or something. The girl I invited was straight from mileroticos. Great natural body, morena but mechanical service, I still have her contact info if anyone wants it but she's nothing special. Also, be careful about some of the lube some girls use for anal. If you rent a place that specifically states "no sexual tourism", why would you think it's just a doorman problem when you try to bring in an obvious prostitute? If you went to a vegan restaurant and they don't have steak on the menu would you suspect the waiter of trying to ruin your meal?

There's no asterisk under any of the "no sex tourism" signs or listings (*this applies to everyone but you). If you're bringing in hookers anyway, I expect you will very shortly be looking for another place to stay and you probably won't be getting a refund since you violated the host rules. My suggestion is to start looking for another place immediately, because the portero has probably already informed your host.

There are always exceptions. Some friends and I went to the food court at the Unicentro mall. A couple took off their mask while we were seated waiting for our food. A security guard came by and said everyone must wear a mask while waiting. I think the directive is that you must wear a mask at all times when you are outside, but it's up to the police to enforce it.

Now, I know that if it is a short-time, I only need the basic / cheapest option. If I have a large party, I know exactly what to expect. 550.000 or 89.000 is not going to change my night or trip or life, so I don't regret what could be viewed as an overpayment. It was an experience.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but they did not allow me to reserve the Presidencial or Mansion. I was told to arrive early or have some one go by ahead of time to pay. I arrived just after 10 p and both were available on a Friday night.

Same day test results in Southern California are running from between $275 to $400 for the PCR test. If they take the sample at 8 AM they have results that afternoon. Not cheap and I guess it's good Colombia is allowing a 96 hour window versus 72 hours like other Countries.

Similar prices here in Dallas, TX.

You only need to reserve in advance for one of the special suites. I've probably been there 20 times or more. I believe the base price for 6 hours is 89 k for 2 people. Extra charge for extra persons, plus charges for any mini-bar items.

They have a full menu available and a full sex store catalog as well.

Definitely possible. My ex-girlfriend from Brazil applied for a transit visa and they gave her a 10 year tourist visa as well. He never said the visa she received was a student visa. He just said that is what she applied for.

I see majority of people wearing masks while walking but I don't see anyone getting stopped if they aren't.

Some stores will not serve you unless you wear a mask.

The funniest thing I see that some restaurants / stores spray your hand and soles of shoes with disinfectants when you walk in. The hands I get but shoe soles? No idea why that is important given that a person can be carrying germs on their clothes and every part of their exposed skin!!

Covid virus doesn't stay in the air forever. It drops to the ground. This is one reason you should never eat anything that has been on the ground. In Mexico places had a mat with disinfectant and a mat to dry off as you walked into places.
