I can't imagine seeing this place closing down any time soon. It does have a rather large client roster that goes back several times a year. Every time I have been there the place has been packed. We be there in just a few short weeks along with some friends as usual. I do hope the place stays open for years to come, it is one of the best places with great prices on the island for what the hotel has to offer.

It will help if the "know it all" posters stay cool.

The entire business plan has been posted here, complete with prices, management share and names of all involved. Technically illegal.

A similar place was thriving, on the outskirts of Sosua under the radar.

Guys started posting details of the business plan how it is run, and it was almost immediately shut down forever!

Business succession is one of the most difficult things a business owner must plan for. It is especially difficult when the business had the unique imprint of the founder.

Nothing is more unique that a resort with a house of prostitution built in. A potential owner has to determine if the property has any value outside of the unique business that is housed within it. After the value of the property is determined the goodwill value of the business needs to be determined. All of this has to be then measured against the asking price of the business.

The business inside of the resort presents unique challenges both operationally and management. Going to take special person to step up to owning and running of that business. There is a long history of sexual service business in this country opening and closing. If Blackbeards does not continue and there is truly a demand for the business offerings that it provided. Another one will open in its place. Such is the nature of capitalism.

Although I never stayed there (not my cup of tea) I visited one time during lunch hour show out of curiosity. Out of the way place but well suited to be a brothel / resort.

Business wise it is extremely hard to run. Firstly it is very hard to please demanding tourists who want everything 5 star accommodation to food to service to girls and not willing to pay 5 star price. Upkeep expenses must be steep. Political and other connections who needs to be greased to keep it running. Now that the owner is gone will be hard pressed to get a buyer who will run it the way like before.

This maybe the downfall like many other such resorts which failed.

Thanks. BBs has pretty strict but reasonable rules about photos. The women have to agree to be photographed and have to expressly grant permission to post them anywhere online. Also it's not cool to take photos in common areas or at events where there is nudity. As Husker Dude points out, if you subscribe to BB's mailing list, you can see pix of the chicas in swimwear.

I track the virus in several countries every day using the map on the Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center. The stat there that I think is the most meaningful is the Active Cases number, which you can see by selecting the Active Cases tab at the bottom of the map, zooming in on the DR, the clicking on the dot there. Active Cases = Total Cases minus Recoveries and Deaths. This morning, there were 26,438 reported active cases in the DR. This number has been increasing since November 8, when active cases were at 19,802. The increase has been comparatively gradual--nothing like the dramatic spike we see in the US. The current number of active cases translates into 2. 44 active cases for every thousand people. Rates per thousand in the US are four to five times that in most states.

The problem with this data, of course, is that it is generalized--we don't have specific numbers from Blackbeards or comparable establishments. My admittedly amateur conclusion is that overall you are less likely to contract the virus in the DR than in the States, but that you are certainly taking a greater risk in the common areas and bedrooms of Blackbeards than you would take walking down the street.

There was a party up in the disco on Saturday night with a lot of whooping and hollering and drunken singing, but that was the only organized (activity I saw in my four nights there.

Did Genesis tell you the price for anal or was it your offer?

I asked how much. She said how much you you give me and asked me to type the number into my phone so there would be no misunderstanding. I said (and wrote) 4,500 DoP. She said OK. There was no haggling, which I definitely appreciated.

Yes, great report Travis Mc. I don't see any reports of Bikini shows etc. On this forum yet. It doesn't mean they haven't happened yet. The best bet would be to email Blackbeards directly and ask for a calendar of activities or ask when these may resume.

I recently returned from my second visit to Blackbeards. I stayed four days. Those interested in my first visit will find an account at Post 972 in this forum.

TRANSPORTATION: I flew into Santiago (STI). Another flight had arrived just before mine did, so there was a long line at immigration. Fortunately it moved quickly. My cell service (T-Mobile / Android) did not automatically connect right away, but after about 30 minutes in-country it did. The driver from Blackbeards was waiting for me with a sign with my name on it. It was about a 90-minute journey to Costambar. The driver obligingly stopped at Jenny's market so I could change money and buy some bottled water before arriving at BBs. The $90 charge for the ride was added to my bill and I tipped the driver in cash.

CHECK-IN AND ACCOMMODATIONS: I was a little disappointed that the room I had reserved, D2, was not available even though it was after 3:00 and the previous occupant had checked out. Still, I understand that these things happen. I paid for a room in cash and up front and was installed in D5, which was similar to D2 but didn't have as nice a view. The bedside lamp switches were a little fiddly and I occasionally had to twist the lightbulb to turn the light on or off. One night I killed a large roach that was crawling the bedroom wall near the ceiling. Again, these things happen even in the best of places. The bed was big and firm, the room was very clean, and the AC, fridge, and TV worked fine. I was quite satisfied.

COVID: I wore a mask in the common areas. So did the desk clerks, managers, cleaning crew, maintenance team, and waitstaff. Only about a quarter of the other guests were masked and only a couple of the chicas were. Because the common areas are open on two sides, there is abundant ventilation, which I assume lowers (but does not eliminate) the risk of passing on the virus. During all sessions with the chicas, they and I were unmasked the whole time.

FOOD AND SERVICE: I tended to stick to what I knew was good: grilled chicken peppercorn for dinner and a bacon cheeseburger for lunch. At one breakfast, I had an omelet that was decent but it was accompanied by almost-cold home fries. I took all my meals there. The service was good, with Monica and Denise being especially kind and attentive.

CHICAS: My impression was that the women this year were more attractive than last year's crop. This is not to say the girls last year were homely, just that this year I saw more real beauties. Rates are set at 2,500 DoP for short-time. There is no upcharge for BBBJ or rimming. For threesomes, just multiply that by two, unless you want girl-on-girl action, in which case you pay 3,000 DoP per girl. Not all the girls will do bisexual scenes.

I had four sessions: a threesome with Naomi and Barbara, another threesome with Roni and Marlin, and two individual sessions with Genesis (pronounced like Hennessy's). Both threesomes were fun, with the girls working well together to pleasure me. The highlights were being rimmed and sucked simultaneously. The individual sessions with Genesis, a Venezuelana, were amazing. She does anal enthusiastically, in multiple positions, and without deterring me from thrusting all the way in hard and deep. Anal is not included in the standard house rate. We agreed on 4,500 DoP. Highly recommended!

CHECK OUT: I was careful this time to pay all my food and drink bills as I went. When it came time to check out, I owed only a small fee for use of the minibar. All the accounting still seems to be done on paper, so doing that also speeded up checkout considerably. I took a taxi to back to the Santiago airport.

FINAL THOUGHTS: As I noted last time, Blackeards is a clean, well-run, fun place to spend a vacation. Some guys might be bored after a time, while others may prefer the thrill of the hunt involved in getting girls from clubs or in the street. But I find it perfect for guys like me who are not looking to be constantly on the go, who like the safety and security Blackbeards provides, and who can amuse themselves during the times they're not with a chica. Places like this are becoming increasingly rare, with Campo Alegre, the Veneto, and the Del Rey all having closed in the last year or so. For me, having a good selection of fun and attractive chicas to size up and talk to before agreeing on a session yields a much better experience than taking a chance on a girl you've only chatted with online. I hope Blackbeards stays around for many more years. If it does, you will certainly find me there again.
