Forget about nightclubs, restaurant bars or anything else for the near term. All of GLD is in lockdown and will be untill the 10th. Not really sure about Jalisco. But there really is nothing to do in the night here.

Yes, that is a good base to explore estiticas (casas) and GDL in general. Great prices for hotels in that zone right now. Usually 100/ night or more. You can search wider area from Arcos Vallarta to Americana. Lots of safe zones to walk and stores, eateries, clubs a plenty to enjoy. Ave Chapultepec is the heart of the entertainment district there. Enjoy.

I normally do P4 P in SEA but as we know its currently shut down, so I'm looking at Mexico. I am thinking of hitting GDL for a few days in January. What would be a good location for a hotel if I am hitting mostly esteticas (Casas)? I see most of the casas are centered around the Obrera district, I looked on Agoda and there is a ton of hotels for around $20/ night, for example Casa Sabina is $17/ night. Is there any reason it wouldn't be a good place to stay? And would they normally allow girls (Hookers) to come to the room? Should I email the hotel and ask the policy for female visitors?

Bar Arandas: I wanted to hear some live music, so I took an Uber to this place. This area is very sketchy especially at night. No cover, great band and some average looking girls will join you if you wish at the table. I didn't inquire about prices for the girls because none of them appealed to me and I was there to hear the band which was fantastic. I had one beer. They do have Siete Leguas Tequila but I did not get a shot. I think it was $90 pesos. My go to Tequila if they have it. Immediately, the waiter brought a pudgy girl to sit down with me. I made up an excuse that I couldn't do that as my girlfriend was back at the hotel. LOL. He told this to girl and she immediately departed so I could continue to listen to the band. The people working here are friendly but I was alert even standing outside in front of this place waiting for my Uber. People just kind of loitering around.

Well I found a place with a lot of SWs there. Its near the Hotel Occidental. I went in to see about a price for a room and was a bit stunned at the talent that was just around the corner. I took a picture and one of the girls said something thing in here fast spanish that she wanted me to remove the picture or there will be trouble. Like what kind of trouble could there be? Its a public street. I deleted the picture anyway, because it was just not that important to me. It was just interesting to see. It really put me off to those girls there though. If your a new client to them, definitely pay before, most of the time. Its rare but sometimes a new to the game girl may forget to ask for it before hand. Same for estiticas, pay before.

Never done GDL but more than likely they'll want it up front. I always want to feel out by either tell them on WhatsApp you pay at the end, and / or show them the cash when they arrive and put it back in your pocket.

And if they try to hound you for "cab fare" just DON'T. Tell them this is the price quoted, she didn't mention cab fare was extra. (That works for me 70% of the time) most expensive Uber shouldn't be more than 75 p so there's that.
