My question: How long is long enough? Another thought: If the vax is only 94% effective, then 6% of those vaccinated will still get the disease and get symptoms; hence making ME's case that Matthew is one of those.

The Pfizer vaccine has to be given twice. The second shot has to be given three weeks after the first and then it takes one week more for the vaccine to be fully effective. Or 94% effective actually.

NB: Regarding the efficiency percentage (94%, 62% those numbers only regard if the vaccine keeps you from getting symptoms if you become infected. Assuming you do become infected and have the vaccine, you won't get symptoms, you become an asymptomatic carrier. You can still pass on the virus to others. Hence, from the perspective of receiving countries such as Phils or Brazil, your (and other travelers) having had the vaccine prior to entering Phils is not a big help to Filipino's. You don't show any symptoms, but you could easily be passing it on to everyone else. The effectiveness of a vaccine isn't judged simply by whether you get sick or not from the disease the vaccine is intended to protect you from. With most vaccines you can still get sick, but the vaccine can still be deemed to be effective if it can successfully reduce and control the severity of the symptoms, preserve your life, and help prevent community spread. I had the flu last week, but it was very, very mild relatively speaking, and really didn't put me down at all. Thanks the to flu shot vaccine I took way back in September! I still got sick with the flu, but the vaccine prevented it from getting me downright in the bed sick. I had the antibodies in me to fight back effectively, and that's what it's all about.

Most likely, I suspect my visit to PI will start in AC. I'll probably visit for 2 weeks, and head over to Thailand for a week. So maybe a week in AC, then a week in BKK, then back to PI, probably Manila. But I'll keep my plans flexible, and if I'm having the time of my life in PI, I probably won't hop over to Thailand.

First AC bar scene was never comparable to BKK bar scene. AC bars have been shut down since covid and may never come back the same. Current ones have converted to restaurant sports bar like operations with windows. No more skimpy bargirl outfits and dressed as waitresses.

I imagine your guess of ST and LT rates are in the ball park. I just don't know how you would make contact. Some say it is all online now.

There are economy hotels near walking street. Personally on my next visit I will live it up at ABC Hotel. I believe when AC opens back up it will be FL on walking street instead of inside the bars. The go to night club High Society has closed down for good on walking street. It used to have plenty of FL there. In all my years I have never been to HS, I am usually in bed with one or two girls by 11 pm.

I have no idea how the Manila or Makati bars will revive themselves.

Thanks for the tip. I've done the trip to Vietnam and Thailand. Done plenty of homework before the trips to figure out the best watering holes and enjoyed both trips. Thoroughly enjoyed Thailand more due to the plethora of selections and venues (e. G. Nana, Soi Cowboy, Pattaya Walking St, etc).

I've tried dating sites when I visited Thailand without much success. It was just much easier to go to the bars (esp Thermae Cafe) to find the girl of the night. I think the biggest problem with the dating apps was that I really didn't find many girls I was attracted to. And the ones I was attracted to were probably so popular, they hardly reply unless you have a really nice profile and / or opening message.

I mentioned I read through the first few pages (AC and Manila) to point out that I tried RTFF. If you don't find the answer you're looking for after looking through 6 pages worth of posts, I think it's acceptable to ask people who are more knowledgeable and active. No, I'm not surprised that people are talking about COVID. The only reason I mentioned it was to show yes, I did read, but did not find what I was looking for. I'm not sure what your level of acceptable RTFF is. I'm sure the info is there. But I didn't want to read through 10+ pages when someone else probably has an answer on the tip of their tongue. That person is obviously not you. Search features in these forums usually suck balls.

I'm not as active here because I don't travel as much as I'd like. I usually post when I'm researching a trip or coming back from one. Which is why I only have 44 posts.

Its there if you RTFF properly and look at the threads, make some notes and then PM a few of us / The hobbying at the moment is also discussed (are you surprised we speak about COVID19?) and there are even links and comments in when it may / may not be back to pre COVID19 days. There are discussions from some members incl myself on the best places and the ones we would not return to again. Plus chats on bars, prices, where to stay, even the cuties.

So there is plenty there if you want to RTFF and not go back 3 pages of the AC thread for example as we have Manila, Cebu, Davao, Duma, CDO, Baguio and everything in between each with their quirks.

And you do seem to ask a lot of questions (just a comment based on your FR history of 44).

If you're budget oriented like a harddiscounter AC is hard to beat for sure.

But if you're looking for quality value for money I think Manila is hard to beat *IF* you take the time to prepare you trip, and invest time in finding girls on dating app for ex.

If you're a PH virgin, I'd suggest 3/4 days in AC, 5 days in Manila and 4 days in Cebu.

Currently it's so hard to enter PH unless you're one of the lucky few with visa, (I read there is a cap of 2500 entries per day at NAIA) that you probably have time to prepare your trip.

Don't forget that these girls are making AND burning through cash at a prodigious rate. Her willingness to accept the 10 k offer may be very variable and heavily influenced by her situation at that point at time. Just because the OP got a knockback once does not mean she will refuse again at some point in the future.

I know a promo girl in Cebu who eagerly accepted my standard 3 k LT offer once only to laugh me off the next visit.
