Can anyone help clear up this one bit of vagueness regarding paying for services rendered / checkout

You get a locker and all the money stays in there, entrance fee includes 2 drinks, seemed more than safe like that. I can't quite recall exactly but there was a surcharge for using a card so I paid cash. I am big points person so the math had to be more than 3% for the card is all I can absolutely confirm. I do recall at solarium if you paid entrance in cash up front you got a free drink. Monte Carlo was like a 10% premium. Basically if you have good access to cash then I think that is the way to go. I used my schwab account with the ATMs so I paid no fees. Side note some places it's mixed like scandello in SP, no surcharge for card on entrance or room, but 6% if you use it to pay the girl so I would mix the card and cash.

Here is a tidbit I hadn't read anywhere, all the termas you get a robe, and being only experienced in FKKs and macau saunas I took it all off, but seems that generally guys keep their boxers on which I finally started to do on night 3, haha. What surprised you about that? The airport is always going to give you the worst rate unless you go to the baggage dudes with the uniforms on. You can even bargain with them for a better rate. The ATM is always going to give you the best rate. XE is showing 5.18 right now. With a Schwab card I am sure you could get a rate even closer to that from the ATM.

In Asia money changers usually have better rates than ATM. I was able to get 3000 from Santander. I used two cards. The classiest bank in the world. The ones in the front of Walmart and my schwab card. Got paid today so pulled some extra money for the group trip to vm. Drinks and uber on me. Cheers.
