However, nothing seems to capture my attention. I definitely like the overall scenery. I think these street chicas are just a little too seasoned for me. But I'm not giving up.

About two hours later we went to club Dilibri. I think I spelled that correctly. This place play American and Colombian hip-hop. A young crowd seen. The place was jampacked and after being in there I know that I'm going to need another COVID-19 test. After about 10 minutes inside the club my partner and I noticed besides us only about 10 more people had mask on. I guesstimate about 200 people in the club. That was jam packed for a Monday night.

Cartagena has a nice crowd and I can see why brother P like the vibe.

They had another club call Maria I think. It's open 24 hours however my iPhone was in the red so I cut the night short and went home. I could have easily pull something however I don't like jumping the gun.

I got the info and this lab does not offer a PCR test, they only do the antigen test at the Bocagrande office and price is 150,000 Colombian pesos.

Thanks for checking! An antigen test is fine. Per the CDC order, it just has to be a viral test. Here is their definition of a viral test.

Viral test means a viral detection test for current infection (I. E, a nucleic acid amplification test or a viral antigen test) approved or authorized by the relevant national authority for the detection of SARS-CoV-2.

Any chance they tell you how long is the wait?

I arrived here with no problems. Currently I'm on the outside of the clock tower watching the small parade of Chicas. I got a few numbers but nothing has really stood out as of yet. This place has a lot of promise. I'm going to give it a little more time to get my feet wet.

The Touts are easy to get rid of. I guess it's because I'm Boca Chica battle tested. If you can survive three days Boca chica Dominican Republic Dealing with those scam artists this place is a cakewalk. As I sit here I see more and more chicas starting to show up. I shouldn't expect too much on a Monday night.

This spot supposedly does the Covid test but I'm not in country yet to verify but if someone is that would be great. It is the next block up from Delirium and around the corner from LDV.

In the article it stated that "during the control process they noticed alleged "irregularities in the test codes, which is why it was decided to verify directly with the laboratory. " My guess is that each laboratory that does the testing assigns a code to each test that then gets put into a database / website where the people at the airport can check the codes of the tests. They said they noticed that the "tests, presented to Migracin Colombia, belonged to other people, who would have taken them in October 2020."

I am guessing all three used the same copy and that is how they are caught.

. I guess the thing that made it suspicious was that they were trying to leave 6 days after arriving.

I would like to make Cartagena my new spot! So much to see. Its a beautiful and historic city. Big enough to mix things up, but not too big. Taxis were cheap and plentiful. The testing requirement to enter complicate things, because I can't go to work if I'm awaiting a test result.

So I may have to do the su until I can go to Colombia with no test. After that I don't plan to spend much time in the DR.

Because of Colombia's tax laws I don't think I'll retire there. But when I retire I'll definitely do 3 months a year there.

Maybe mix it up between Colombia Brazil and DR. We shall see. I have a few years yet.

Well there won't be any reports from me out of Cartagena, as I found a way to get back into Bangkok and am now waiting out the 14 day quarantine period.

Reading the reports about the 3 amigos who got caught with fake COVID-19 tests was quite amusing. Before entering Thailand, my documents were checked no less than 6 times, and they were extremely thorough. Each document was looked over with a fine tooth comb.

Thais are very good about even unfairly keeping farang out of their country. Altho I must say that here in Cambodia, the second sign of international riffraff, after the dreads, beads, bare feet and native garb, is the whine "yeah man, the Thais wouldn't let me in".

I came this close to going to Brazil. But after reading brother p adventures; and the information other members of this board have contribute; I leave for Cartagena on Monday. I pre-registered and I have my current Covid negative test as of the 15th. I'm looking forward to writing my perspective of the place. Pardon me for being under the influence when I write but that's how I get down. Thank you guys for the information.
