Covid testing Northcoast. Prior to flying back to the US

A summary of my exchanges with Clinica Bournigal, Pto Pta. As you will notice, this has become a good money making business.

PCR Express test, 1 day before your flight, results within 24 hours, US $89.00.

PCR regular price, 3 days before your flight, results within 72 hours, US $79.00.

Antigen Test US $35.00, 2 days before your flight, the result 12-24 hours.

You can make the appointment by email with us, or in this link (https://form.jotform.com/210057231136947), Centro Medico Bournigal.

Places like BB, Ahnvee and Classicos are like stocked little trout ponds and game reserves, for those who are either socially, or time challenged. Pay to enter.

But the beauty of DR, is that there's an abundance of wild life out there, free for the taking.

You'll rarely find a resident or regular in those places.

    To each, his own.

Or either they owe a bunch of money and are trying to get suckers to pay it for them. Didn't their other furniture get repossessed, hence they bought plastic chairs to replace it?

Superbowl starts after curfew so I don't know how you would expect them to be open for Superbowl. I see the manager of the place almost every day and even he doesn't know when they are going to open. The curfew hours are really holding them back, plus another issue that I will not mention on an open forum.

Well, this should be in the General Info thread. But just got off the phone with United Air. According to the Filipina rep that answered (sounded kinda gwapa), she said that a positive PCR test within the past 90 days, along with a doctor's note saying you've recovered from Covid, will get you boarded on the plane. I said well, since the passenger has been in the DR, the note would be from a Dominican doctor. Is that good? Yes sir.

    Hope that helps.

Thanks man, good to know. So if you're hanging around and plan on traveling to the US in the next 90 days, why not go get tested. You night get lucky and get a false positive at that point, rather than when you got your shit all packed and ready to fly. Go find a doctor and say you were sick but now you're feeling great. Problem solved in advance.

Negative Or Positive PCR. (For inbound to US from anywhere)

    Test stuff

Trump relaxed the COVID testing for inbound US flights effective 26 Jan. Binden says he will reinstate.

Who knows anymore. I am planning on getting a COVID test if my airline requires it.

I also think that the cost for the Covid test is covered by the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic under the current free healthcare coverage that the Dominican Republic is offering to international travelers in the DR, to boost tourism during this pandemic until 3/31. Accordingly, you will have to travel to the DR by air and check-in a hotel, to qualify for the coverage. I called my regular hotel, Napolitano, in the capital and they will follow up and get back to me with all we need to know by tomorrow; will keep you guys posted once I hear back from them.
The Dominican ministries of Tourism and Public Health are supposed to be coming up with a comprehensive road map as to how to respond to the United States' covid test requirement: https://dominicantoday.com/dr/touris...ded-in-the-dr/.
