Sorry for the random question. What is the infrastructure like in Nairobi? In terms of internet connectivity and reliable power supply. I am a digital migrant and need a good connection for 4 hours or more at a time. I have been bumming around South America for over a year and feel it is time to move on. I have spent time in Uganda so should not be a huge culture shock. Discovering how much more expensive Chile is compared to Colombia or Brazil LOL.

Internet can be pretty good these days. Just make sure you check it when you decide where to stay.

Power supply has got better too, do not see as many power cuts as the past.

Here is the closest thing to a plan I have, which I am ready to spring into action at the drop of a hat. Get a hotel near the black diamond and go there on a daily basis to find a girl to bring to my hotel. From what I read online the curfew is in effect but girls just work around it and leave by curfew. So instead of being there from like 8 pm to 3 am for example they will hang around from like 4 pm-9 pm. Black Diamond I was in last Saturday. I went from 7 pm to 9 pm, at least a dozen in there looking for money. You don't need to stay nearby really as uber is cheap. I stay in town and its only $2 max in uber. So BD, other bars, or the person to person street / mall approach is your way to go if your not going to use online. Badoo works for me in Nbi. Very difficult to say. I much prefer Mombasa as it is quieter, has the beach, people are easier going. Nairobi is a city, its a pain getting from a to be due to traffic, Nairobians are more money orientated. Women are cheaper in Mombasa, they expect a bit less.

I know Shanzu but not those apartments, they could be anything really, Shanzu is a large local living area but it has two sides on either side of the main road. The beach side is very nice but the other side is where the locals live and by our standards it is very poor.

Mombasa is very easy going compared to Nairobi. You have to work to get girls in Nairobi where as in Mombasa most will oblige no problem.
