The Medellin girls are the best. But Cartagena has the beach and cool vibe. The only daytime action here is play a Hollywood and it's loud and Tony is a pain in the ass. And they also have this horrible music. The noise pollution actually drove me off the beach yesterday. Only to find a nice chica from Medellin. I haven't been to San Jose but I believe it's a big city so if you have to choose between that and maybe I go for Medellin. Best women anywhere.

As far as Playa Hollywood. Done with it till Tony goes. Just the awful bands and music there is enough to keep me away for a while

I feel like everyone is watching me as I solicit, making me feel embarrassed*the first few days. I have been to Cart solo and had a blast in years past and also traveled with my Colombian buddy and that was fun as shit and also have taken a few paisas for a few days visit and that too was fun, we both know the paisa Shar* and we went in November 2020 and had a blast just hanging out and visiting some clubs, so again there is no right way or wrong way to play in Cartagena be it solo or with friends.

Did you ever make it to Bogota this visit?

You are allowed 2 bottles of liquor into Colombia. Most Duty Frees are a ripoff and you will fare better going to the local grocery store. What I have done recently is visiit my local liquor store in the States and written down the prices in my phone of the things I drink. Then as I travel around, I write the prices of particular duty frees and overseas grocery stores. I have also been to the military base to write prices from there.

You can go to your app store and download check-mig for the immigration documents.

Best prices on duty free is Usa=Canada border (closed now), Dubai, Philippines, India. Taipei was bad before but now changed with cheaper prices. Problem is flights to USA do not allow to board with liquor bottles. Need to buy on landing and put in checked luggage coming back.

Thank you. It's a good source to compare prices and know what is available in Cartagena even though it's about a 20 minute ride from where I'm staying. At least I know what I want is available. I will use the prices listed to compare against Duty Free and I'll also use a fairly solid US price source https://www.totalwine.com. Taking Don Julio Anejo for instance. It is $56 at total wine and $59 at Jumbo. Tax rates are about the same. However, I would incur the cost of a roundtrip taxi. I wouldn't think of traveling with liquor in my checked baggage under no circumstance, but if Duty Free is close in price I will just roll with it.

For anybody else that is curious, please note some items have a huge price difference. The price of Moet is crazy expensive in Cartagena. Almost 3 times the price in the US.

Cartagena is a very touristic city, nice to see once if you come with your partner for 3 days to take pictures but for a single guy or to come with bros its not super fun if your not fucking bitches.
