I was there last Friday night. It was dead. Keep working on it, bro.

Can't deny that it is dangerous here. There have been some shooting going on, but that is so common it is almost considered normal. Usually happens when the fools attack the police or military, and get their asses shot off. At the present very little of what goes on now has to do with the power struggle between cartels. That could change at any time. Nuevo Laredo is a very lucrative port, both for legitimate and illegitimate trade. With Joe Biden's policies now in effect, the human smuggling rings are having field days, which makes drug smuggling easier.

    More bars opening.

It was announced that more bars had been given permission to re-open, so this weekend should see a least some of them open.

You will be fine, just call the hotel. The roads are clear. I am heading back to Austin tomorrow. I will be grinding away at Tree Damage for the next several months. Life is good. Stay safe and warm.

A couple bars are open at night, but nothing compared to the past. Action, should you choose to call it that, now is mainly in the street, within the first 3 or 4 blocks from the bridge. Most girls hang out around the old market, or within a block from there, at night. Malinche, Safari and Arizona are the open bars, and can get busy Friday and Saturday nights.

Well, I am aware more than ever now and choose to stay away. My first clue should have been when my friend from there got killed a few years back. Thanks.
