Yet another myth. Republicans like to promote, that red low-tax states are subsidizing blue high-tax states because of the deduction for state and local taxes.

In reality it's the other way around. Red states are heavily subsidized by federal tax money taken from Blue states.

You are presuming there is accommodation available and it is less expensive than the hotels. Perhaps spell out the economics so we can all share your unique understanding. I realize you support this immigration and defunding the police and getting rid of ICE but I wonder if you really are a good socialist why aren't you helping the peaceful protesters burning down the federal buildings in Portland. The border patrol agents are overwhelmed and understaffed do obviously overworked. 170,000 people tried to cross border illegally in March. All of them came because when Biden was elected he said he was going to overturn Trump immigration policy that they must remain in Mexico until their court date. Biden reversed this and people are flooding the border. That is a fact. Biden can solve it by returning to Trump immigration plan that was working. Very few if released in USA return for their hearing because they know that if they aren't accepted they will be deported. Most of them are not eligible for asylum as they passed through Mexico which is first country they entered.

Border patrol agents are spending most of their time at the detention centers because there are to many detainees for the facilities do criminals, cartels and human traffickers are taking advantage of area that are not patrolled because of lack of agents. Check points are closed to staff the detention centers.

Do you think any other country in the world feeds and gives hotel rooms to people who try to sneak into there country? All will be deported but in most countries they go to prison.

Filing a tax return does not require a photo ID. Using you logic there should be massive frauds in tax refunds with millions of refunds being sent to the wrong people because of a lack of photo ID. Yes, there IS fraud but mostly from identity fraud. And most folks who steal an identity secure a photo ID.
