After 3 months in Bogota, I'm finally leaving next week, anybody recommend a place for Covid tests?
There's also this online shopping app called Rappi and I've seen them advertise covid tests administered at home with a result within 48 hours for 270 mil. Has anybody tried it yet?

Finally, finally, the CDC is out telling the truth. Transmission is one in 10,000 from surfaces, and I am not sure I even buy that number. That even seems too high. Now today they admit they are very few cases spread from being outside, and you do not need to wear masks outside. Finally!
So now we know, forcing people to stay inside is insanity, but that is what the CDC said in the past, and Colombia has not got the new message.

First time to Colombia at beginning of April, only a few days. Was planning to MDE, but changed to Bogota due to the curfew at MDE. Got a lot info from the forum prior to my trip, just want to contribute my 1st report on the forum.
Zero Spanish, can only speak "hola", "gracias".
Santa Fe SWs, took the Woodman tour at night. Totally worth it, Woodman showed me street scenes and a few clubs. He helped me to negotiate a my type girl, 40 k for quikie, no BBBJ or kiss. Came back next during day time, still plenty different types of choices for SWs.
The Mezzanine, went there noon time, 3 doors open, quoting from 90 k to 150 k an hour. Choose a nice looking girl for 150 k, service is good, while still no BBBJ or kiss. The environment is not my type though, room is tiny with a bed can only fit one person, and other girls just right out side the room chatting.
Checked a few Chapinero day brothels another day around noon time, only Chicas Dos Mil is open, 4-5 girls each, did not find anyone I like. So took uber to Abejitas Massage, 55 k massage only, 160 k full service. Quality of girls a little lower than Mezzanine, but room is better, with decent space and better bed. No BBBJ, light kiss.
LIDO club, went there on a weekday night, no cover fee, while beer and cocktail range from 50 k to 80 k. 30-40 girls, a lot of 7 or 8's on my scale. Only 4-5 tables of dudes. Chatted with a model like girl for about 1.5 hrs, only through typing on google translate. Negotiate all night till 8 am from 700 k to 600 k. Did not negotiate further as during the chat, really felt clicked, very friendly and not pushing. In my room, she provided true GFE, BBBJ, DFK, multiple pops. There is a 250 k club exit fee though. So total damage is 850 k (230 usd) for 8 hrs. My favorite session this trip.
Overall, due to my limit time, prioritized experience over cost. Would definitely return next time, and will try to optimize cost a bit. And also, fantasy on Medellin for a while, and planned to check it out this time. Reading from the forum, it seems that it might be a little cheaper to find GFE there with model like girls, as Medellin might be a more relaxed. Too bad the curfew situation conflicts with my schedule this time. Hoping to return to Colombia soon, and will start taking on Spanish.

Posts: 707Anyone still in Bogota on Wednesday needs to be prepared.
The protest this Wednesday in Bogota is shaping up to be serious. The word is that it will affect most of the sectors of Bogota. The new tax law is going to make it extremely difficult, if not impossible for the working class to survive and they are really pissed off now, so expect the worst. Taxis, food deliveries, ect will all be disrupted and may inger on for a few days so be prepared.

I agree with you, but Colombia has been hit by the Brazilian variant, and I doubt it is going to just be another month. They are way behind on vaccination and have a long way to go for herd immunity.
I took two of my favorite Colombian women out to Cancun. Wingo Airlines has good fares, but they have been hit by a computer virus and their website is down. There is an airline service called Radixx that has been hit and Wingo and 20 other airlines have been hit.
Only thing that may change things is a review of what really works and what does not with the virus. I was surprised to see Bill Maher, a liberal, speak the truth and have been seeing a lot more people doing likewise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qp3gy_CLXho.
Unfortunately, there are still politics involved with the virus.

Posts: 707Not a good time to visit.
Things are getting more restrictive by the day and extended untiul May 9th.
Lopez issued this statement yesterday.
What are the measures that will govern the city?
The gradual return to presence in public and private gardens, colleges and universities is suspended until May 9.
Dry Law is decreed every day until May 9, only home sales are allowed.
The curfew is maintained from 8:00 pm.
All establishments, essential and non-essential commerce, must close at 7:00 pm in order to comply with the curfew from 8:00 pm.
The 4 x3 model that has been operating in the city is maintained, with a general quarantine from Thursday at midnight until Monday at 4:00 am.
The peak and cedula are kept.
The mayor recalled that any type of marches or crowds are prohibited. "No type of agglomeration is allowed (.) There are many ways to protest, the organizers may well make virtual sit-ins, cacerolazos, but the marches or agglomerations are at this moment an attempt on life," he said.
Also I read recently that some 900 people have been arrested and jailed for violating the curfew and quarantine directives in Bogota.
Look, we all want the same thing, the freedom to enjoy our hobby. However it's not the best time to travel. It's possible to hit the streets against the decree and get away with it but you just may be the one they decide to make an example of, in my opinion it's best to wait it out another month and hope things get a little less restrictive.
