Amazing perserverance and immediacy in remedying any outbreak. But, its no fun for anyone in the world. It is just that we in Taiwan were sheltered from the problem for quite a while.

Now that all the major whoring centers are all shut down, where does one go? I mean if you are not into the expensive VIP scene.
I guess eventually Wanhua will reopen. But, so much damned attention was brought to the place. All my favorite tea houses up front and center stage on all the news stations. Watching the news with non-mongers and hearing them spew out comments about how disgusting these men and women are that gather in such places. Of course, I chime in with my comments, "My God, I didn't even know that such degraded places even existed! (LOL).
"Is nothing sacred anymore?" (LOL).

Posts: 316So, both of the community spread cases in Taipei have come from Wanhua tea houses and, last night, a Vietnamese woman who appears to have been here illegally was found killed in her Linsen apartment that she used for a 'massage studio'.
It doesn't take a lot of skill to figure out that authorities are, and should be, watching such places in the next few weeks. Be safe.

You can't be unmanly and use too much testosterone in the struggle, so you sometimes cave.
It seems like the ladies and the police peacefully co-exist for the most part. Police appear and ladies scatter. Police leave, and ladies reappear.
I had an appointment during a police sweep and I called my girl and told her I was not coming because of the presence of the police. She told me to just come upstairs and they will not bother me. They are mostly watching the ladies so it does not get over-populated. So, I just did that and there was no fuss made. I was allowed to go and do my business. That was in the Huaxi Market, so there is also karaoke going on which is legal.
I do see from time to time, raids made on prostitution rings from Thailand and Vietnam.
I believe if law enforcement wanted to wipe out the profession completely, they could easily do that. It is allowed to exist because it is a biological necessity and if practiced in an orderly, dignified manner, it prevents disorder throughout the city by allowing ones' carnal desires to be extinguished in those alleys. They do serve a vital purpose and they always have and hopefully will continue.
