Well. Family is here, kids are here, work is here. So I am here. Simple really. Plus the land is cheap and I have all my future investments pretty squared away and not have to worry about money when I am in my golden years.

True. My town isn't known for its cuisine but that is why I travel. I do weekend trip with friends and family to get to where we want to eat. Plus we know how to cook really well so I can usually order what I want online and have it delivered the next day. Wagyu, fresh oysters, fresh lobster and so forth.

That's why I prefer the boite / terma / FKK set up, where you can sit many girls, see how they move and hold themselves, which can tell you a lot, before I make my choice. Admittedly it's more time. and money consuming though.
And I add that it's also more fun and enjoyable to me!

This is correct. Although these are all a standard part of the service, if you are a gringo some girls will pretend that they are not. For this reason in any clinica is necessary for us to do the Three-Frescura test. In Brazil a frescura is anything a girl does to make a session worse rather than better. The three frescuras are (1) no kissing or bad kissing, (2) refusal to do a BBBJ, and (3) artificial lube in the pussy. I think the locals rarely suffer the frescura treatment, but girls have been conditioned to automatically run frescuras on gringos so it is (unfortunately) necessary for us to ask these rather crude-sounding questions. Even in a high-end boate like Scandallo there are some girls who have conditioned to run frescuras and you have to ask the questions and prove that you are not a dumb tourist: basically making the point that you are human and do not expect to be ripped off.

This mini-interview also gives the girl an opportunity to opt out if she is not attracted to you. In theory every girl in a lineup is available. In practice, not exactly. If the girl wants to opt out, she will act hesitant when you ask her these direct questions. That's not pleasant but it's better you find out at this stage rather than in the room. There are girls who are more than happy to punish you for not doing due diligence. And of course even in Brazil there are some girls who simply don't like the job they are in and shouldn't be there. You need to be able to filter those out.

If you go to touristy clinicas, like Enjoy and certain others in Moema, your chances of running into frescuras (and being ripped off in general) are greater than if you go to places where tourists are unknown. In many ways the "better" parts of Sao Paulo are the worst. I noticed that even in some restaurants they will try to rip off gringos now. You can understand that the pandemic has caused economic hardship and possibly some envy of our relatively rich lifestyle.

Absolutely correct. It happened to me once in Abbobara and I walked out without picking a girl. That is why I don't go to Abbobara any more.

This is a good technique tactic and procedure.

I must compliment you despite all the other criticisms haha.

I for one love Asian street food. It might be cheap but it tastes amazing. Brazilian food misses that by a lot. Don't get me wrong. It isn't that Brazilian food isn't good, it just doesn't have the extra kick that Asian food has. Now, I am sure someone will come by and tell me that I haven't found proper Brazilian food. And I don't care. I have been coming to this country for the last 20 yrs. Been from the north to the south and have yet to find something that can compare to the variety and flavor of Asia's best.

There are good options in SP as I am sure there are in Rio. But don't get your hopes up. I enjoy a nice picanha, some veggies, beans and rice just as much as the next guy. But I don't want it everyday for my meals. Once in my trip and I am fine. I require variety and flavor and that is something I am willing to pay more for.

Right, Brazil doesn't have a street food culture like Asian countries do. Nevertheless, I have had some in Sao Paulo. It was on a Sunday if I recall correctly where they shut down the main drag downtown, and you have people walking around and music and events and all of that kind of thing. There were food trucks way at one end of the street, and other places you could grab a bite to eat. I got a tasty meat dish, something to drink. But, that's as close as it comes to street food in Brazil in terms of what I have personally had. Thailand is great for street food! Tasty and cheap!

But the ones I saw didn't look all that appetizing (e. G. Soup in a bag, fried chicken with flies all over, etc). I did have some good Pad See Ew in Phuket, but it was in a main touristy area for 200 baht ($6).

When I was in Vietnam, they had a hole in the wall restaurant where I got some vermicelli dry pho with bbq pork and egg rolls in it for $2. Street vendor bahn mi in Little Tokyo was had for $1! It was delicious and cheap.
I doubt Brazil (SP or RJ) will be like this. From what I've been reading here and on tripadvisor, restaurants there seem to cater more to the well off (average meal being ~$10 or more). I'm eager to hear people prove me wrong. =)

Checkout the Netflix series "Street Food: Asia", if you get the chance. There are some amazing "hole-in-the-wall restaurants" as you put it, that start on the street and go on to become 1-Star Michelin restaurants. There's even a new season, "Street Food: Latin America", but I haven't seen it yet.

My only Thailand/Bangkok/Pattaya food experiences, came in circa 1997 and 2015. A long time in between and a lot has changed, but the street food for the most part, is still pretty good.

Believe me, I'm knocking the food in Rio. It's fine. However, while tourists bring in money to Copacabana and Ipanema, there are times where some of the popular restaurants slack off. They know much of the clientele is not a returning clientele.

It's like comparing the food scenes of New York City and Miami. There's nothing like the food in NYC where you have a lot of affluent people living and working day to day.
All good points. SP and its very large diverse diaspora of cultures, is one of the things that is very attractive about SP (and Brazil in general).

Unfortunately, my food palate, is somewhat pedestrian and not as sophisticated as others. But for whatever reason, I just love street food. Go Figure!

I asked her how was she namoradinha if she didn't kiss. She said namoradinha with her didn't include kissing. In short, if you don't state what you want upfront, you can't complain about not getting it.

I am in SP for the Brazilian pussies. The price for a pretty GFE girl in SP is around 500 reals per hour. In my hometown USA, the price would be 1,000 usd per hour, and even at that price, GFE is not guaranteed.
    500 reals / h in Brazil?

I am guessing that's what you pay for a prim provider at a fancy place.

But I would argue the same can be found in Rio, just not on the same scale as SP.

Yes! I got real "friendly" with every Terma girl I took upstairs before I made my decision to take them upstairs. It is one of the reasons I really liked my Solarium, my favorite terma.

In the clinicas, same as in BKK oily massage parlors, there is virtually no audition time, just a meet and greet. This is why the choice of your clinica is very important. You are relying on the quality and service standards set by the management of the individual clinica and obviously not all clinicas are managed equally. I really like Prime. Most of their girls looked pretty good and their service was always top notch. On my last visit I was talking to another customer after my session. He was a Brazilian guy who had worked in China and the USA and he spoke English well. He attributed Prime's high standards to it's mamasan. He said she recruited the right girls and knew hot to manage them. I could not agree more.
