I like Brazilian steak very much, but I don't remember those thick cuts that you see in an American steakhouse.

I'm fairly sure you won't get a great rate for Brazilian Reais at a North American or European bank. It might be better than the airport, but that is about it.

Be careful with the room charge, though. At Scandallo, if you go over 1 hours, the room rate goes up. I never get out with R230. The reception always nailed me for $280 or $300 for the room or so because the chics took forever to shower after the sessions. Watch out the girls drinks as well. I didn't care to get a new Schwab account as I don't travel much yet. I plan on traveling much more starting the end of this year or early next year so I'll definitely open one before then. The phone plan I got was $2 (activation) and $10 for data + minutes. I don't know how much data / minutes. Communication was very difficult, even with google translate. It is definitely a cheap option if I can get it to work. I tried T-Mobile for a brief time a couple years ago, but they didn't have very good coverage many places (close by work, home, golf courses), so I've been with Verizon for many years.

Staying in Bourbon has been a huge blessing. Being able to walk around everywhere even though my phone's internet's not working has made the biggest difference. Thank you for suggesting this hotel!

This one of the closet hotel to the clinicas and Prime. I asked the front desk, you can check in after 9 am if there is availability in this large hotel. Before 9 am, they will charge half day. If checking out very late, like 8 pm they also charge half day. For those with USA flights. I've been staying at an Airbnb in meoma which was even closer. I was walking around this morning to see my housing options for next time.

I don't remember at what time I got to bourbon but they did charge me half day for early check-in. They will charge half day for late checkout until 7 pm (no charge up to 2 pm) and they charge full day for checkouts after that.

I went to Scandallo yesterday, Saturday evening and stayed until closure at 9 pm. As there were recently a bit contrary reports on the situation at Scandallo, unfortunately my experience was almost exactly the same as Lalabo's:

The only areas open are the bar right by the entrance, adjacent smoker room where people are cramped together and the restaurant, which was pretty much deserted. Disco and Patio closed, Party atmosphere non -existent. Girls quality the lowest I have ever experienced in my maybe 30+ total visits before and during pandemic. Total maybe 50-60 girls, some older and overweight, average 5's and 6's at best, some would even have a hard-time in cheaper places. Few doable girls, hardened pros, pushy and annoying trying to get you to the room, certainly no model quality. Reduced Cover 50 Reais + 150 Consumption. Girls confirmed that during the week movement is even slower. I don't think I will go back until they get back to normal opening hours. The place to be at the moment is definitely Connection. They have more and better girls with quite a few who are normally working at Scandallo.

Thanks for the update on Scandallo. There are few other forum members on the ground this week, so let's see if they see anything different there. Like you I liked Connection and it was way better than Scandallo and Bamboa when I visited. There were lots of girls there, mostly average looking ones but there were many good looking girls too. It is worth checking out connection even tough it is bit far (30+ min Uber ride) from Moema area.
