Not sure I personally would ever venture forth on a single members post. Maybe a visit to a massage shop but halfway round the world, umm?. For starters his idea of fun, which situations and what kind of women turn him on might well be different from mine and as you say there might be a credibility issue as to the accuracy of the source. Phuket information is actually VERY relevant right now since some of us, including myself, are considering returning to the Phuket sandbox in July rather than having to quarantine in Bangkok or Pattaya. So if Danny makes a post that the girls are ugly then I am hoping his information is recent and first hand. Not just a guess of how it is.

Here are 2 examples of irrelevant info. Met a guy who kept pumping up Brazil. My buddy in Germany bought tickets to go to Brazil based solely on his information and found the girls not to his liking at all. Then he finds out on his return the guy pumping Brazil was last there 8 years before! Another is I met a guy who pumped up a little known hobby country in Europe. I thought OK maybe I'll give it a try. Luckily one of the guys I met in Thailand is from there and told me all those clubs this guy was pumping up had closed years ago!

So yes if a guy posts girls are hot or girls are not hot hopefully it's based on a recent trip! This is why I ask when a person was last there when the information is not consistent with what I know or heard or if I'm searching for new relevant information.

I could not agree with you more on the relevancy of up to date posts and the value of on the scene reportage especially post Covid on the scene reportage, but your 1st example of Brazil is a bad choice to make the point on several counts. I would suggest that you use any other country for an example other than Brazil because A) Brazil is a very popular destination and there are plenty of up to date trip reports in the SP & RJ Brazil forums and B) although Brazil aficionados tend to disagree on appropriate prices to pay (what a surprise) and tastes can widely vary with some preferring silly cones and large butts while others like myself preferring the thin, natural look; I don't think you will find very many punters thinking Brazilian girls are not attractive and or great in bed because they are very attractive and great in bed. 555.

Have fun in Phuket. I will look forward to reading your posts. IMHO, Phuket pre-Covid was best when I brought my own girl. I cannot imagine it being better as a sand box. That is another reason, in addition to all the smokin' hot Brazilian girls, why I am going back to Brazil in October for a 2nd helping and postponing my return to LOS until March / April 2022.

I know you pride yourself on knowing what goes on but would it be impertinent to ask when were you in Phuket last to know whether it is full of old "haggards" or not. Maybe it is maybe it isn't but unless you were there recently you don't know so why question the post.

All Thailand is same same. Majority of work bargirls are Haggard, old, unattractive, unpersonable or a combo of all.

According to this report, 20 tourists have signed up to visit Thailand in July:

It also says opening is July 9th, not 1st. A lot of it is probably due to uncertainty / chances their reopening will get delayed.

I think in this case the supply must precede the demand.

No one will go (or stay) to Phuket if everything is closed.

On the other hand, Phuket can become a very popular spot if it is the most lively place in Thailand.

I think everything will be opened in Phuket by Jul 1. But pay 4 play will probably not be firing on all cylinders. So it'll be enough to attract the normal (non p4 p) tourists and their families. But probably not enough for the p4 p tourists.

I read an article this morning which stated that you still had to have a visa and a COE from the Thai embassy of the country you are traveling from. That is the show stopper. Until they go back to just stamping your passport when you have the vaccine certificate and the negative test very few people are going to come. The article I read could be incorrect but we won't know for sure until sometime around July 1st. Who's going to make plans when the rules are always changing?

For sure. With so much changing in Thailand, it's hard to assume that reopening really means that. Their 3rd wave hasn't been decreasing at all. They could (I doubt they will) change their travel and quarantine policies at any time. That along with the rainy season in full force from July-Oct, I doubt tourism will pick up right away. But I think it's also more about testing the no-quarantine policy and make sure it's ok to open up other provinces in Oct and Jan.

Most likely, Phuket will be fully open by July 1st. Only restriction may be that the business needs to be 70% vaccinated before opening?

So far, Phuket's 58% vaccinated. As for the bars and massage shops, time will tell, but it's probably a waiting game on both ends. Mongers waiting to see what hobbying is going to be like, keeping a close eye on FRs. Shop girls are also probably going to call their friends to see what tourist traffic is like. July isn't really a busy season for tourism. 1 night 1 dollar campaign might help, but who wants to go in muggy / rainy July-Sept? I'd venture to guess that tourism will start ramping up and pick up towards Sept-Oct.

The main purpose of the sandbox is to confirm opening to vaccinated tourists will work. So tourism will probably really start picking up in end of Oct-Nov as other parts of Thailand also start opening up.
