I don't know if you've been paying attention but there's a Special curfew for the Santo Domingo and Boca Chica area. Due to the corona virus problem in that area all businesses close down at 6:00 PM. All bars in areas that serve alcohol mostly are closed down at 3:00 PM.
If you thinking of a weekend vacation go up north to the Sue. Their curfew starts at 10. The bars are still closed early but there are more chicas there and it's much less complicated for someone new to the scene.
