Tack this on to my wrap up report. It should be noted that although I still consider Thailand, and the Philippines as preferential mongering locations, Rio de Janiero bests them in the category of "Downtime Activities". As one cannot monger 24/7, there need to be things to do during the day and night that are fun and interesting.

In my mind, the only way that places like Thailand and the Philippines can be better than Brazil is if you like those Asian girls better than Brazilian girls. That's the only way that Asia can be better. And since those flat ass Asian girls are too often far too shy with their bodies for my tastes, they can never ever compete with a Brasiliera tigress with those sexy curves of hers and her vixen attitude! I suppose if you got to have bareback FS then the PI wins, and if you got to have anal sex Brazil wins hands down. But all things being equal, at least for me, there's just no way the Asian girls are competitive in the sack with the Brazilian girls. Just no way! Not even close in my estimation. But hey, that's just me. Too each his own right?

With some of the recently written posts / conversions and poetic pros, comparisons to Hemingway (and the like), with regards to VM, it's interesting to note the strong emotional connection that a place, like VM triggers within someone to write such passionate pros.

When you consider, Hemingway love to write while in Cuba and Hemingway wrote some of his best work while in Cuba, a place, considered "squalled" and far "inferior" to American on so many levels. . . it begs the question, where is the same level of bluster, "poetic tales" and passion of enchantment for the high-end establishments? Perhaps there are some? I don't remember any of recent memory.

What is it about VM, that brings out the Hemingway in some?

I honestly don't know, what is it? In me it brings out the gag reflex, over and over again.

I don't know if Hemingway would enjoy walking down the alleys filled with the stench combination of stale urine and asscrack sweat. Or if he loved banging hookers on a mattress filled with thousands of DNA samples left by people before him. I don't doubt he did partake in something like that, but he was a war correspondent, and those were brutal times.

What's the fascination and why romanticize this squalid and terrible place, I'll never understand. As if Rio doesn't have zillions of other cheap sex options.

Any newbie should visit once, though, just to confirm they aren't missing out on a great thing.

I have stayed at hotels all over Rio and have never had a guest issue.

They ARE a fucking problem.

If an upscale hotel doesn't want to let a hooker in to protect the hotel ambience, I totally understand. But in this case. Don't allow hookers at all.

That's not what they do, however. They let you bring a hooker and charge you extra for the privilege. Why exactly? Are they in a pimping business?

That's a scam. When you book for 2 people, you should be allowed to have 2 people in the room with no upcharge.

You're making it sound like you can walk in the door and proceed to your room with a girl on your arm as long as you're radiating confidence and not acting like a jerk. That's simply not true. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. And I don't want to find out which is which. I just want to be able to use my room I paid for.

So, yes, the hotels are the problem, I'd say.

If you are getting into the Hilton price category, the JW Marriott used to be solidly guest-friendly. This was a general reputation the JWM brand had all over the world. I suppose those Mormons like their fucking. LOL.

Can any board members who have stayed at the JW Marriott in the past year confirm their guest policy?

Philippines:

Angeles City in the Philippines fails miserably in this category as the only thing to do other than monger is go to the crappy nearby mall. Subic is slightly better, but in general the Philippines is very weak for downtime.

Thailand:

Similarly Pattaya is nothing special- compared to Ipanema and Copacabana, Pattaya beach is just awful, and the mess of streets inland is chaotic, dangerous, and difficult for pedestrians. There are a coupe of nearby temples but that will occupy two days at most. Bangkok is a bit better, but spending too much time in Bangkok can drain your wallet fast.

Cambodia:

Phnom Penh has some interesting landmarks, but once you check them off, you are left again with a dirty, chaotic city that is not pedestrian friendly.

Brazil:

Copacabana and Ipanema / Leblon are eminently walkable areas, and some of the best time I had was walking up the Ipanema stretch on Sundays when they close the whole street to cars and it's just pedestrian traffic and taking in the sights. There are number of destinations and tours that could keep one busy as well for a few weeks. Its just an undeniably beautiful environment.

One more data point for mongers to consider.

Thanks for this post. When I travel my first priority is to have a traditional vacation but I also want to have some good mongering available. I was thinking about Pattaya but will now do Rio. I love the ocean. I have done Cuba, Cartagena, Cancun and Playa del Carmen. All have both. I will definitely be making my first trip to Rio when the covid situation improves there. Hopefully this winter.

Not talking specifically about Spidy, but I mean I'm getting tired of being bludgeoned to death with constant literary (and other) allusions. How's about just some good old, straight up, straight forward field reports like in those good days of old? Geesh!

This was one of the points that I was alluding to.

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for a little poetic license and creative writing, which often makes for an interesting report. But personally, other times, the "over-the-top" poetic license, just takes away from what is otherwise, a good/great straight forward report.

Personally, I try to make short order of places that aren't to my liking and move on. Perhaps list some of my pros (if any) and cons, so others can judge for themselves and move on.

But specifically, I was just curious and wondering, "Why does this poetic prose/license seem to flow from these writers, more often with reports on VM?" Or is it just me?

Many of these same writers, go on to enjoy a better, safer, cleaner and a fantastic time at the high-end clubs and venues. Where is the same level of their inner poetic Hemingway, for the high-end places, they've enjoyed way more than VM?

Hemingway/Cuba vs. ISG BM/VM, is there something to it?

For those of you like, VB1 and Mr. E, with boots on the ground, I am very appreciative of the current intel you guys provide.

My question is to maybe garner insights into BMs (especailly newbies) and their interactions when they visit VM. So we know Mr E's take and that's appreciated. Perhaps he's right, but it still doesn't explain the poetic lengths some BMs take to describe VM.

Hence, as Senhor Vagabundo has suggested, we need a thread for the Literature of Prostitution.

Hmmm... that idea very well could work, especially for those that wish to unleash their inner Hemingway. But I fear it would be a soon forgotten thread, with perhaps some good lost works of "artful posting". But it might address those who wish to report with a certain flair for the "over-the-top" poetic/creative writing license style.

I read that book many many years ago, until this day I still try to apply some of its teachings. Some people are naturally that way, I wasn't so it was a life changing book for me.

As far as the hotel, I booked the Hilton because I saw some people commenting they never had an issue there, it might have been actually you! I try to dress well and be discreet around hotels anyways, so I think I'll take my chances and report back once I'm there in August.

Phone.

I enrolled in google fi and bought two cheap (relatively) Motorola phones before arrival. With google fi your phone / internet will work just about anywhere in the world and this is convenient coming off the plane, etc. My monger whatsapp and social media all silo'd on this phone as well so it doesn't pollute my real life.

Airbnb / Hotel.

I stayed at 3 airbnb's over the 6 weeks and had no trouble at all bringing in ladies. No questions asked by the door ever. Ever. I need to do laundry, like to have a kitchen, and don't need someone to make my bed every morning, so I'm not sure what the draw of a hotel would even be considering all the hassles it seems to be causing. My first two weeks were in Copa, then I got wise and moved to Ipanema, where I stayed for a month, 3 weeks of which at a discount rate by paying cash directly to the renter.

Mongering.

I visited Terma's 65, 4 x 4, 502, and Monte Carlo and sessioned multiple times. I visited Solarium, Club 116/114, T 31, Manhattan, Marrakech, Kalabria, but did not session or pull girls from these establishments. My favorite terma was T 65, where I sessioned very frequently. For two beers, entry fee, and 30 minute of sex, 305 reals is not a bad deal. I appreciate the more laid back atmosphere in the T 65 lounge, and although there is quality at 4 x4 there's too much bunda grande for me. Also it's too dark in that club to gauge looks completely. Also its going to be a different mix every night at 65 because the girls are all freelancers so it's a new scene every time you go.

I pulled girls from Mab' and the walk between Mab's and DV. I visited DV (Dolce Vita) a couple times but it was dead both times. Mab's will have some great talent on occasion. I used Brazilian Cupid once, but did not use any online sites. I did not go to prives or clinics.

GFE.

I got wrapped up early on with one particular Terma girl and tried to replicate a GFE with her over the course of a few weeks. This is a mistake, do not do this with a Terma girl. It might be ok with an SA girl, and even then be weary. I wasted a lot of time, money, and emotional energy on this effort- probably because she seemed to be everything I needed and I didn't want to hassle looking for more. In the end she was an annoying drain and I found much better sex at a much lower cost (emotionally and financially) elsewhere. Also if you try to have a GFE experience, it's difficult if the girl is banging multiple dudes before seeing you on any given day. I had another mini-relationship after this that went better but ultimately suffered the same fate. Some will argue-Senhor Vagabundo comes to mind- that the ideal is a mini-relationship with a GDP. I'm now not so sure of this- it might be better to limit them to one, perhaps two encounters per week. A whole thread could be devoted to this topic.

CIM, COF, BBBJ, BBFS, swallowing, DFK, Anal.

I was able to get raw sex, and BBFS twice in six weeks- perhaps a 5% compliance rate. Compared to the Philippines that number would be close to 85-90%. This made me very sad, and when the Philippines opens it will be hard to justify coming back to Rio where such service is not common. The good new is that BBBJ, and CIM when requested were almost always given. If CIM was not granted, COF was offered as an alternative- which I can live with. Three GDP's swallowed without any prompt on my part, which was amazing. DFK was offered at close to 85%, which is much different than SEA, where you would get perhaps 45%. I never asked for anal and was never offered, but other mongers report this scene as being positive for it.

Always ask for what you want before you go to the cabine or you will end up disappointed. Don't be shy, they don't care. If she doesn't do what you need, move on and then next one will.

ISG Wingmen.

Another difference was that ISG enabled me to meet some wingmen which made the mongering experience extremely pleasant. I recommend to everyone to reach out to other posters on the ground. Meet at Mab's and just hang out to view the talent-it's not a big deal. You don't need to be buddy buddy with everyone, but it's been great experiencing the hobby as a team sport, which I never did previously. Mongers in SEA seem to keep to themselves. Thanks to my ISG buddies, you guys know who you are. Also thanks to the posters here who provide such a great resource.

I'm headed to Colombia for the next four or five weeks- not sure I will be posting on those forums though. Brazil was overall great- but as mentioned previously, it will be difficult to pass up SEA when those countries finally open up, so I'm not sure when I will return. When I do I will have a much better lay of the land, and do things much differently.

Was at 65 with "Nicolle" who requested that I photograph and video portions of the encounter. I will spare the readers shot of my anatomy. I enjoy her silicon body and positive attitude with regards to garganta profunda and liete na boca, but mongers will find her face makeup a bit weird as she is gobbling you as she has tried to make her nose look thinner by applying an extreme highlight along the edge which in better light looks ridiculous and is hard to take seriously. I think it's the element of danger and the unknown- at least as perceived by a sheltered gringo mongers on holiday. Scandallo, etc does not provide this dramatic tension.
