Isn't that backwards? Some athletes train at high elevation so they can kick ass at sea level where there is more air to breathe. The higher you go, the quicker you will experience hypoxia and pass out. You are saying that having more oxygen makes you more tired??
You've got it right- that's why the Olympic Training Center is in Colorado Springs. Not saying he's not tired at sea level, but it's not due to less oxygen at sea level.
This one yes, very close to mezzanine but blade2001 is referring to the other one slightly more in the south. Not sure will one I will pick next time I m there are both have correct to good reports and are obviously girl friendly. I usually would prefer to stay in chapinero center to be close to all the casas but. Anything north Virrey is a bit far for me but at the same time a nice 5 stars hotel is appealing.
I'm glad someone brought up elevation (about 8,400 ft) in Bogota. Every time I've traveled there I've been hit with extreme fatigue for several days after I returned back to sea level.

We will be at high elevation next week at La Isla.
I'm glad someone brought up elevation (about 8,400 ft) in Bogota. Every time I've traveled there I've been hit with extreme fatigue for several days after I returned back to sea level. It was strange in that I would be fine the whole trip while in Bogota, even hiking up Monserate with no issue. However, after I got back to sea level I would be hit with severe fatigue for several days. The first time this happened I thought that I must have caught some virus or something, but after subsequent trips it became apparent is was the elevation. The plus side was I would always lose a few pounds from walking around at the high elevation.
I was recently in Mexico city which has an elevation of about 7,300 ft but had no ill effects there or when returning to sea level. I had lost a significant amount of weight prior to visiting Mexico city so that may have been a factor. I'm hoping to visit Bogota again in July and it will be interesting to see if this weight loss has cured the post trip elevation fatigue I've experienced after every previous Bogota trip.
There are actually 2 hotels Dann Carlton. First one called hotel Dann Carlton 4 stars and the second one is casa Dann Carlton hotel and spa 5 star. Which one are you referring to?
Dann Carlton Hotel and Spa. I think I've also stayed at Dann Carlton hotel but defiinitely prefer Dann Carlton Hotel and Spa.
Yes I always have struggled with higher altitudes even on my first visits to Bogota 30 years ago when I was in top physical condition and now 30 years later still takes my body about a week to adjust and then the sleeplessness and constant headache wanes away. So being in shape physically has much less to do with just how our individual bodies adjust, no rhyme or reason.
My last trip to Bogota was in October 2020 and I tried a prescription drug called Acetazolamide and it seemed to help.
Have fun and what a lucky man with your 9 you scored at the club.
The Tall Man.

Not totally girl friendly. Daytime no problem. After 6 you can pay extra or just walk past and pretend it's your wife. If you try to sneak, could backfire. 15 No. 103-60 4 star & very nice. Better location then 5 star.
Yes. Tall Man, Medellin is next. Woodman was doing his other business but he came out for a few. We relieved previous fun and I went upstairs with a 9 (I could not believe it!) I found her while hitting all the clubs. 150 K girl, 50 K room for 40 min. Woodman saved me $. Also ran into another friend I met in December. Not an ISG person but lives near Santa Fe, Still trying toi shake off altitude sickness, about to take some cialis, I read up the ED meds can help. More later, meeting a ballet dancer now.
Excellent!

I've stayed at Dann Carlton several times and it's girl friendly, but make sure to book for two. They will suggest you check in any visitors, but you can easily avoid the front desk to bring a girl up if you want to. There are a couple elevators in the hotel and you use the one opposite side from the front desk to sneak a girl in. There is a nice sauna / pool area in the hotel and you will need to check your girl in if you want to visit the pool area with her. Also, they make you wear a shower cap to use the pool so you have to bring one with you. Don't miss out on breakfast as it's great.
I've never been to Mezzanine and didn't realize it was so close to this hotel. I'll need to visit next trip. The club Lidos is also in that area but the girls there are expensive.

This hotel is close to perfect in terms of price and modernity. It is even nicer than the Hyatt Place I stay at whenever I'm in Tijuana. They are very girl friendly. I've been bringing up 3 different SA girls every day and haven't had a problem registering them at the front desk. They are generous with extra towels. And the climate control and internet are great.
Now for the (relatively minor) negatives:
1. I thought I would be able to avoid the walk of shame altogether by simply taking girls straight up to my room. I got away with it once. But the second time, the doorman ratted me out. I must have been on camera because the front desk called me at my room to come down and register my guest.
2. This place is a long way from everything.
3. The food choices on Rappi are limited and Domicilios doesn't even deliver to the area. Even the nearby Hilton doesn't have a very good restaurant. At least not one that approaches the main Hilton in Chapinero.
Just out of curiosity what is the prevalence or even existence of Black or Asian girls available in Bogota? Especially at places like Mezzanine?
Also are their FKK style places around? I like Mezzanine style places but getting a great massage with our without sex and being able to sit down in between sessions would be nice.
I have my eyes set for Colombia when I travel in Late August. Newbie to international mongering but I'm a native speaker so I figure I can do well.
I'm having trouble deciding Bogota or Medellin. Anyone care to describe the differences for me? Which city is more fun? I'm a young guy that like to party.
Thanks in advance.
Read the forum. I posted a huge report about the pros / cons of both.
I am not sure about girl friendly. But I walked through the lobby after one of my sessions at Mezzanine across the street and it is a nice hotel. It has balconies for some of the rooms as well which is something I would like to have this time around. You don't find many hotels with balconies in Bogota.
Showdown.
