I am vaccinated because I went back to the US in March for 5 weeks. That meant a 10 day quarantine when I returned in April. That was not so lucky.

As for someone paying my fine, that was the bar owner, who paid for everyone.

Your comment on not paying a fine has a lot to do with action all over Thailand. If vaccinated people can ignore the COVID rules to get laid, that is huge! Are you saying that Thailand has different rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated people? What vaccination certification is carried in Thailand?

It's a lucky massage lady in Thailand who is vaccinated. How did she arrange it? I have BKK nurse friend who is vaccinated and a housekeeper to ultra wealthy friend who is vaccinated. Also have 2 friends in Sandbox areas who have just received 1 vaccination. None of my other Thailand friends have been able to get vaccinated yet, including three who are ready, willing, and able to pay the 3400 baht per injection private hospital fee (or whatever it is). Most are expecting October available at private hospitals.

One shot is not fully vaccinated and especially with the China one which is what is being given to most Thais. That's why the numbers are trending Up, Up Up.

Explorer doesn't seem to have problems with being in massage joints and bars illegally. Not exactly what I would be doing. In fact, he said he was caught in a bust and was given a lecture by the police on COVID safety with no fines, jail time, or deportation threats. That certainly doesn't sound like Thai police to me!

Anything coming out of Indian pharma industry is expensive now. Employees are getting hit with covid and hence they are in short supply. Adding to this resources are prioritized towards vaccine production and other priority covid meds. I guess dick pills just aren't a high priority right now for the Indian Government.

That might be one reason but I am sure the pharmacies have a lot of unsold stock since the customers disappeared. They should even give us a discount on that stuff.

I don't use Thai Friendly, so if I visit Bangkok, I would be walking around looking for fun.

In Soi7-1/2 are still 3-4 massage / BJ places open. A girl offered me 700 for a BJ. Snow White in soi 26 is open again. The BJ bar at Asoke (former Soms Heaven) is always open. At the Thermae outside during night time I have seen some really pretty girls and of course a bunch of ladyboys. Otherwise everything looks pretty dead. I am using now the Thai sideline websites and visited already a few really stunner. But you need to speak at least some Thai. These pages are full with hundreds of pretty girl. Most of them between 20-25 years old.

I was wondering the same thing. Kamagra used to be a big box (50 jellies) was 1500 THB at the pharmacy next to Bully's Pub between Sukhumvit 2 and 4. They're closed for good.

Recently got a big box of 50 for 2750 THB from the Pmart pharmacy next to Foodland in Patpong. Not a good price at all, 55 baht per jelly, about the same per unit price as you paid for 7.

Street walkers. Everything else is illegal, and unlike at normal times, the authorities are eager to crack down so if caught they won't give you any breaks.

Sukhumvit is depressing, few girls, fewer customers. The slum area southwest of Khok Wua intersection (not far from Khao San Road) seems to be the most happening place in town, during daytime as well as night. Relying almost entirely Thai customers, and they haven't dried up as much as Farang have. Several girls I recognize from Sukhumvit have moved to this area out of necessity. The Wong Wian 22 traffic circle near Yaowarat is another active place.

Both areas are Thai-oriented, seriously downmarket and service is so so, but it is what it is, and you can find a gem among girls who came from other places. Back in May I found an ex-Rachada 8/10 girl and she quoted 600 baht. Would have been well over 2000 in normal times and venues. Paid a bit more for her to go back to my place for a more relaxed session, no way I'm using the filthy short-time hotels in the area at a time like this.

A few BJ bars are (or were) still open along Sukhumvit, if you dare.

If you want to avoid jail and stay completely above board (they're arresting us by the 100's as of the past 2 days) I strongly recommend sticking to girls standing along Sukhumvit any time past 7 pm. And I don't mean partying with the bunches on the street secretly with alcohol. Get'them to your room ASAP.

If you don't care about a vacation in Thai prison, in addition to the restaurants illegally serving alcohol, there are bars pretending they're restaurants on the down low. Massage shops pretending they're doing the one legal business of foot massages whilst offering a full fish bowl on the down low. I reckon if you hit these up at hours of the day when they're extremely unpopular, that's the safest way to do it. What are they going to have a massive police raid and nab 3 people. You and 2 Thai employees? Not sure.

The Department of Disease Control (DDC) and the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), which is chaired by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, can and will decide what can stay open, what must close and how strictly to enforce it right up to and including arrests and jail time for patrons any day and that is all any of us "know" about the scene here. Even those of us living here all the time don't have a clue what will happen tomorrow or the day after that.

Observations and overviews I posted on this site yesterday might no longer apply tomorrow. As they say, This Is Thailand. There is no way any of us can accurately predict what conditions will be like to usefully inform someone wanting to book a flight to Thailand who will then be required to quarantine in a hotel room for 10-14 days. By the time you walk out of that hotel lobby we might be under a strictly imposed 23 hour a day curfew for all any of us know. Hate to be that negative about it. But there it is.

For a hot few days several weeks ago the condo complex I live in suddenly required all visitors to present a current negative Covid-19 test document to enter the building! They said it was a new government requirement. LOL. I had not heard that one before but they got talked down off the ledge by enough owners in the building to settle for just requiring visitors to deposit their I.D. at the desk. I suppose any hotel could come up with something crazy like that at any time. And even if they get talked down off the ledge after a few days too those few days might take a big chunk out of a planned holiday.

The dating sites? Yes, those are still working iif you don't mind encountering someone in real life only vaguely similar to the person in the posted photos and profile description or perhaps only marginally more similar to their appearance in a video chat. Those that are still actually in Bangkok or wherever they said they lived in their profile.
